Sandi: (in Props) Lobster Thermadore, a little caviar graced in the back of an ice-carved crystal swan--oh, I love an impromptu party!
Clive: (after Mike's song) So that's what heavy metal is. Right.
(in Props)
Mike: Here. (hands Sandi the blue blob) If you love me, you'd swallow it.
Sandi: I love you, I swallowed it, this is the end product. (hands it back to Mike)
(in World's Worst)
Sandi: It's not a very bad itch, and I don't think it's spreading...(starts scratching)
Arthur: Hello, I'm Clive Anderson.
Mike: Sorry to say, my wife can't make it, so it'll just be you and me!
Josie: I thought, 'Yes, I'll go on holiday with you, well, I mean, pfft, might die tomorrow.'
(in F&TS, gangster film)
Josie: You got a cigarette?
Arthur: Uh, I have, but you're not allowed to smoke on TV. (Clive buzzes, audience laughs, Josie breaks up) Unfortunately. (looks into camera) Unless you're Peter Cook!
Clive: Great suspension of disbelief you're working on there.
This is the first episode to have more then one female contestant on the show.
Arthur Smith is the first one to do the soon-to-become-standard "Hi, I'm Clive Anderson!" joke. Watch him crack up Josie in Film & Theatre Styles, too.
Sidney James:
Imitated by Arthur in his credit reading, Sidney James(better known as Sid) was a comic actor best known for his roles in the Carry On films and for the TV series Bless This House. His 'dirty laugh' was also imitated by Arthur. Sid's TV.com page can be found here.
