    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    • TRIVIA (1)

      • At the end of the show, Clive slipped up and started calling Tony "Sal" which is close to his last name. Tony then said 'Sally Slattery.'

    • QUOTES (5)

      • Colin: (his Hoedown verse)
I love the feel of money, it's so crisp in banks
I like the smell of dollars, of pounds, of francs.

      • Sandi: (in Musical Producers, after the second song) That was a great song and a hell of a dance.

      • (in Alphabet)
        Tony: Careless butterfingers!
        Mike: Dr. Cock-up!
        Tony: Every time!

      • (in News Report)
Mike: He's a grand old duke, and party till you puke, I tell you!
Tony: He is in fact going to be re-christened The Grand Old Duke of Pork.

      • (in World's Worst)
Sandi: Squelch! Hello, I'm Incontinence Woman!
Colin: It's me, Salmon Man! (flops like a fish)
Mike: I, Captain Forgetful, will take care of it. Where's my costume? Where's my costume?!

    • NOTES (4)

      • Another change to Alphabet. Instead of saying each letter once the letter which they use first is the same one that they use last. This would also be used more often later on and all the time in US version.

      • Comedy Central's order was: F&TS, Props, World's Worst, News Report, Alphabet, Musical Producers, Helping Hands and March. Mike's song is edited out.

      • In Helping Hands, Colin appears with Tony providing the hands. This may be the only time that Colin did not provide the hands for someone(usually he is Ryan's hands).

      • Colin Mochrie makes his first appearance on Whose Line Is It Anyway? Colin would become one of the fans' favorite performers. Colin, along with Ryan Stiles, became full time cast members in season 8, filling the 3rd (Colin) and 4th (Ryan) seats and appear in all of the first run (ABC) of U.S. episodes. This is the only episode that Colin appeared in without Ryan until 2014.

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • The Grand Old Duke Of York:
For those of you who haven't heard of it, here is the nursery rhyme:

The grand old Duke of York,
        He had ten thousand men.
He marched them up to the top of the hill
And he marched them down again.

        And when they were up, they were up;
And when they were down, they were down.
But when they were only halfway up,
They were neither up nor down!
