    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    • TRIVIA (2)

      • This episode is from the same taping as Show No. 217. When Drew is sitting at his desk, you can see Chanel, the Polynesian dancer that Wayne sang faster and faster to in Song Styles in 217 on Drew's left.

      • Ryan screws up the plot of Film, TV, & Theatre Styles. Colin was supposed to be staying behind to look after Karen, but Ryan said Colin was coming with him. They cover it up pretty well, though.

    • QUOTES (8)

      • (in The Millionaire Show, Ryan dials a phone)
Ryan: Someday they're going to invent a phone where you can just push buttons.
        Colin: You're crazy!

      • Drew: (to Karen after her hard time guessing in Party Quirks) Don't ever go on Celebrity Jeopardy!.

      • (in Weird Newscasters)
Karen: Im 62, but i feel like a nubile teen.
        Colin: You're kidding yourself.

Karen: I baked you a pie.
        Colin: I'm freaking out.

        (after Karen kisses Colin)
Drew: It wasn't as good as the kiss Colin gave me on The Drew Carey Show, but it was all right.
Ryan: It was a lot easier to watch, I'll tell ya that.

      • (in FT&TS)
Drew: Ryan is a WW II pilot--that's World War II.
Ryan: All right. I thought it was a wrestling pilot.

      • Wayne: (during Song Styles)
He doesn't have a collar 'cause he's not a reverend
He doesn't wear a hat; he's not the Pope
But, because he's a very good pastor
To get to heaven is what he hopes!
        That's what he hopes!
        That's what he ho-o-o-o-o-opes!

      • (the scary wife Hoedown)
Wayne: Oh, I got married about a year ago
I'm as happy as can be, I think you all should know
But my wife, I'm glad I did marry
Except in the morning, she looks like Drew Carey.

Drew: Well, Wayne gets worried about his little wife
'Cause she is the love of his life.
But every night, just about three
Oh, Wayne, She's out with me!
(Wayne's mouth drops, and then they dance)

Colin: Every night my wife scares the life out of me
With her ugly hair and scars, all you can see
Marrying someone that ugly really wasn't my plan
        I accidentaly married Dennis Rodman!

Ryan: You know that my wife, she is my best pal
I will have to say that she is quite a gal
When it comes to wives, she is the best
She's the finest in the land-phew-now I'll get some sex!
All: Now I'll get some sex!

      • Drew: At the end of the show we pick a winner. The winner gets to do a little something special with me, and that's why we'll never win an Emmy.

      • Drew: (at the end of FT&TS) Stick those points where the sun don't shine: Seattle, Washington!

    • NOTES (1)

      • Although Ryan Stiles is from Seattle, Washington, the running gag in this show seems to be referencing some unseen bit from that night's taping. Since this bit didn't make it into the show (or any other show from this taping), nobody will probably ever know for sure what Drew and Ryan are talking about except the performers and the members of the audience that night.

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • Drew Live:
After Weird Newscasters, Drew says that Karen's kiss of Colin wasn't as good as the one that Colin gave him. He was referring to Drew Live, the first live episode of The Drew Carey Show, where Colin played a gay man who thought Drew was in love with him and kissed Drew at the end.
