    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (1)

      • During Bartender, Ryan sang it took over 40 cows to make his shoes. In Show No. 406, during another game of Bartender, Ryan sang to Brad Sherwood that it took 47 cows to make his shoes. That was about ugly shoes, not being in love with them.

    • QUOTES (5)

      • Drew: (after Bartender) Man, 1000 points to us 'cause the bald jokes are back, boy! You want bald jokes? We got 'em, baby!

      • Drew: The points are like, uh, how fat I am when I'm in a strip club.

      • in World's Worst)
Colin: Does this shirt make me look kind of boxy?
Ryan: Everyone in the world has launched their missiles. The world will be gone in about 30 minutes. Good news is I'm lowering taxes.
Drew: (as Mr. Rogers) We're having a crisis today. Can you say 'crisis?'
Wayne: Have no fear. Myself and my army of Teletubbies will make sure is airlifted to the nearest...
Drew: (singing) Here I come to save the day! La la la la...
        Colin: We are so screwed!
Ryan: Don't worry, everything's under control. (dealing cards) Okay, the king of swords. The king of swords means...
        Drew: (as Scooby-Doo) Ru-roh! Romb's comin'!
Colin: We must unite as one. (singing) Kum-by-yah, my lord, kum-by-yah...
Ryan: Hey, I got some good news and I got some bad news. The bad news is, we'll all be dead in 30 minutes. The good news is...Michael Bolton's goin' with us.

      • Chip: (at the beginning of LMAD) My name is Dawna. D-A-W-N-A. Dawna. And I used to be a cheerleader. Okay!

      • (at the end of Irish Drinking Song)
Colin: Joe had a nice bone!
(everyone tries to sing, but breaks up, Chip walks back to his seat, Laura plays off-key finale)
Wayne: (walking up to Colin) You're on TV. (pointing to the camera)
Colin: That's not what I meant to sing.

    • NOTES (8)

      • At the beginning of Bartender, Chip asks Colin, 'Did I get your wife pregnant?' This is in reference to Wayne singing about being happy about having a baby that was also done in this game, but was edited out of the final cut of this episode.

      • Just look at Chip's face when he said have a hot dog and Ryan says 'I wouldn't know where to put it.' It's priceless.

      • After Bartender, Drew openly annouced the return of the bald jokes! For that, he awarded everyone 1,000 bonus points.

      • This episode was from the same taping as Show No. 403, Show No. 604 and Show No. 7005. All of the eps included shots at Colin's classic Hawaiian shirt and Ryan's ubiquitous large, blue shoes. Other ways these eps are linked:

Drew's introduction with the country song titles here is also in 403.

Greatest Hits featuring Songs Of Pregnancy appear in both 605 and 7005.

Scenes From A Hat appear in both 403 and 605.

      • Chip either had a difficult time, a lot of fun, or both with the game of Bartender in this episode. He had to sing about both Colin being bald and Ryan's choices in footwear.

      • The woman plucked from the audience for Duet was wearing a shirt that had especially printed on it, "Wayne, please sing to me!"

      • At the beginning of World's Worst, Drew razzed Colin for his Irish Drinking Song performance. He pretended to be Colin in the game as the world's worst example to be leader of the world. Colin replies, 'The extra mile,' implying, probably that the joke just keeps giving, and getting, an extra mile.

      • At the end of Bartender, two stage hands come out to take away the stools and bar. They come out right on camera and even take the bar away in front of Drew's close up. A series of union jokes followed, naturally.
