Why I Ran is a docu-reality based drama from The Biography Channel that features people who've run from the law in the most pulse pounding high speed police chases caught on tape. We have all seen the helicopter footage of car chases all across the country to go with eyewitness accounts of what went down. A getaway driver for a bank robbery gone awry, a woman that suffers from a mental illness never before diagnosed or a driver whose medication went a rye. They all have their distinct stories as to why they decided to put others lives in danger by attempting to escape in ridiculous fashion. Now they talk about why they ran in their own words. With each episode we get real live footage of each chase to coincide with dramatized bits and pieces to put together each of their stories. Why I Ran takes you the events that lead up to each assailant fleeting in outrageous fashion. Never before has anyone been able to go inside the mind of a driver, until now.
