Original Ratings: (Households: 2.9/5, #8; Adults 18-49: 1.5, #T8)
In this episode, the rules are broken for the first time. Team Artisan does not list its' black end table as one of the four required items, and is forced to use the wrought iron table that they mark as one of the required items that were appraised.
This marks the fifth time that Team Artisan has lost the challenge.
So far, Kimberly has been up for elimination the most times with a total of three. Dawn, Denise and Heather all have been in the bottom two twice.
This the first time ever that the judges have disagreed. While Bobby believes that the Crafty Beavers deserve to be victorious, Candace likes Team Artisan's display better. In the end, David serves as a tiebreaker, choosing the Crafty Beavers as the winners.
Kimberly: (About Dawn) I have a feeling that she's gonna be eaten alive by some of the other game players left.
Heather: It was nice, actually, to all be able to speak when the judges came around today, which was quite different than when Mitch is around
Bobby: Mitch is a good talker. He talks his way out of every single thing.
Mitch: (About Kimberly) Why don't you just serve 'em an apple pie again since that was such a big hit the first week of the show?
Mitch: (About Kimberly) That's all she does is gripe about if the judges will know if she made those stupid flowers.
Kimberly: (About Mitch) I don't even care if he's Brad Pitt. I wouldn't keep him.
Mitch: This piece of silk is $195 a yard.
Amy: I love how it's a toolbox and it has women on it.
Kimberly: I don't trust Mitch at all.
Mitch: I get to join the Artisans. That doesn't seem like a reward for being the best.
The judges chose Mitch's personal project from last week as the best, forcing him to move over to Team Artisan this week.
Dawn's and Kimberly's individual projects, a stationary set and a pillow, are chosen as worse than Mitch's planter, and Kimberly is sent home with Mitch's vote.
Kimberly says, in this episode of Mitch, "I don't even care if he's Brad Pitt. I wouldn't keep him." Brad Pitt, a movie star, is a nation wide sex symbol, like Tom Cruise. He is used whenever someone needs the name of a famous, sexy actor.
Mitch says that Kimberly and Dawn "are whistling Dixie out their wazoo," meaning that they take too long on their projects. Originally from the song "Dixie Land," the phrase "whistling Dixie" usually means that you're kidding around.
