  • Trivia

  • Quotes

    • Grace: Every family has problems, you have to work through. Don't you think the Kennedys had words when William married the Terminator?
Will: I don't think they care who the girls marry.

    • Grace: You just gonna hide in here all night?
Will: (Throwing ties out of his closet) I thought Jack's birthday party might be a good time to weed out my tie collection. Pick the one you want to be strangled with.

    • Grace: Five years ago, Will told Sam he hated the woman he was going to marry, and as a result, Sam cut Will out of his life completely. And they were -- they were so close. And now, finally -- finally, Sam seems ready --
Karen: Honey, honey... I barely care about Will. Can you imagine how I feel about the brother?

    • Karen: Oh, my god! Do you know what he would love? Oh! What is that deal down in the Mediterranean where you can charter a yacht with another couple for a week? You know, 7-person cruise, they take you up the Italian Riviera. Oh, what is the name of that boat?!
Will: Oh, I know. The S.S. Lower Your Dosage.

    • Jack: Hey, look, I'm Cher... circa 1978. (Standing in front of a display of hay) My daughter's a what?!

  • Notes

    • When Jack faints, a female extra with glasses can be seen laughing.

    • This episode is in reference to when Will told his brother what he thought of his soon-to-be wife. With only a handful of script ideas and a push from the network to create a two-parter, David & Max took from the pilot and create these two episodes.

  • Allusions

    • Jack: Hey, hey! Pay no attention to the brats behind the curtain!

A reference to the famous line from The Wizard Of Oz.

    • Will: That's what you get for thanking India.

This is a reference to the Alanis Morissette song "Thank You," in which she actually thanks India.

    • Episode Title: Big Brother Is Coming

This is a reference to the phrase "Big Brother is Watching" from George Orwell's famous novel "1984."

    • Will: Let's see, we got the cop, the cowboy, the Indian. This has got to be the construction worker.
A funny reference to the 70's singing group, The Village People.

    • Karen: We're making a cake from scratch. (with a southern accent) And I helped.

This is a reference to the famous Shake-N-Bake commercials that have been around since the 1960's where the little girl says in a very twangy accent, "It's Shake-N-Bake, and I helped."

    • Grace: Will, call your brother. You know, Michael Corleone forgave Fredo.
Will: Yeah, that was right before he had him taken out to the lake and shot.
The incident referred to here took place in the 1974 Francis Ford Coppola film, The Godfather: Part II, starring Al Pacino as Don Michael Corleone.

    • Will: (To Jack) I'll be next. Jack, I joke with you a lot. I call you names. Names like Nellie, Mary, Tinkerbell, Femme-bot, Ally McHomo...
Tinkerbell is the fairy featured in the children's story Peter Pan, written by J. M. Barrie. The name is also used as a pejorative term for "homosexual."
The Femme-bots are featured in the movie Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, staring Mike Myers. They are robots posing as women designed to seduce men and kill them.
Ally McHomo is a twist on Ally McBeal, staring Calista Flockhart as the title's character.
