    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    • TRIVIA (1)

      • This episode ends the short relationship between Matt and Will, as the writing staff noted that Will having a boyfriend interested in sports would die out quickly. So in turn, Mutchnick and Kohan killed it off quickly.

    • QUOTES (12)

      • Jack: (Watching a basketball game) Mhm mm! Look at those tall guys in those tiny shorts and tight tank tops. Why do straight guys watch this?
Grace: If I knew why straight guys do anything, would I be hanging out with you two homos?

      • Will: Stop standing there, looking all disapproving of me and rolling your eyes!
Grace: I was debating whether to add clam strips to my order!
Will: I know that look! It's the same look you have every time I try to do a British accent.
        Grace: I don't have a look!
Will: (In a bad British accent) Oh, don't you, love?

      • Grace: Oh, there's Matt! He looks good on TV!
Will: Yeah, there's my man! My squeeze! My steady fella! No wonder I was alone for so long.

      • Grace: Sorry I'm late, this homeless guy asked me for money. I thought he was just gonna spend it on booze, so I took him to the Korean market and told him he could get up to two pounds of salad. But then I thought, who am I to tell him he can't get booze? So then I took him to the liquor store and got him a triple malt.
        Jack: Is that true?
Grace: Saks was having a shoe sale.
Will: Not only do your lies have too much detail, they're also socially irresponsible.

      • Jack: Yeah. There's this fish restaurant in Queens. It's where all the gay guys take their closeted boyfriends. You know, it's like a casual saw-dust-on-the-floor, hands-down-my-pants kind of place.

      • Will: Make no mistake about it, Harry, I am a gay man. I sleep with men. I have no desire to sleep with women--not now, not ever.
        (Karen walks into the restaurant)
Karen: You screwed me, Will Truman!

      • (After Karen reading the revised version of Stan's will)
Jack: Looks like Stan's got a big heart to go with his enlarged prostate.
        Karen: Oh, balls!
        (Jack giggles uncontrollably)

      • Will: I just said, 'Hey, I'm an out and proud gay man. I'm not about to go back in the closet for the sake of a relationship.'
Grace: Oh, that is so good! And it's so right; we're here, we're queer and he'd better get used to it!

      • Karen: Oh, and all of the sweet memories they bring back. Hmm. (Pulling out jewels) On my knees in Belize. Oh! On my back in Iraq. Oh! Oh! And then there was that time in Nantucket!

      • Grace: I'm just standing here thinking about clam strips, which is moot, because they're all out... Out and proud.

      • Karen: Grace, that blouse hurts like a hangover.

      • Matt: So what do you think of my office?
Will: What's not to like? You're surrounded by naked men with an average shoe size of seventeen.
