    • Will: OK, Elliot, look. Some of my biggest regrets are the things I didn't follow through on. Like when I gave up the role of Kenickie in my high school's production of Grease, because I was afraid to jump off the car in "Greased Lightning". You think a day goes by where I don't think about that?
      Grace: God, I hope so.

    • Grace: I'm Red. From Red, homo, homo and boy.

    • Jack: (Singing) Karen and Milo sitting in a tree. K-I-S-I-N-G...(confused) wait.

    • Grace: You know it's strange. How things have changed for the two of us for the last year. I'm the married lady, giving out dating advice. And you're the single girl starting life over. I like it.
      Karen: I hate it.
Karen & Grace together: I know you do.

    • Karen: I wanted to call you. I lost your number. Do you know how many Grace Johnson's are in the phonebook.

    • Will: And worst of all Jack is like a superstar. The guy can't figure out when to step off an escalator but he's a genius with a soccer ball!

    • Karen: (to Milo) This is Red, Homo, Homo, and Boy.

    • Will: I thought we had a good talk. I thought I was a role model for you.
Elliot: I see you like once every eight months.

    • Jack: Not you, Whora Flynn Boyle! He needs to hear it from someone who understands, someone who's as bad as he is.

    • Kirk: I'm Kirk, the captain.
Will: Oh, so you're Captain Kirk.
      Kirk: Right.
Will: Who do we play first, the Romulans or the Klingons?

    • Jack: Gay soccer isn't sports, silly. It's cute guys in shorts runnin' around kickin' balls. It's a gay bar on astro-turf.

    • Grace: Ah, look at her. She's all flirty and shy. Like a teenage girl.
Will: Yeah. Are you there, God? It's me, Satan.

    • Karen: What? You mean like on a date? Oh, I don't know. I've been married to Stan for so long, the last time I was on a date, Bush was president and we were about to go to war with Iraq.
Jack: Don't worry, Kare. It's like riding a bicycle, only you're naked. And the seat's off.
Will: (to Jack) You can't borrow my bike anymore.

    • Will (to Jack): Let's warm up.
Both: (singing) Me, may, mi, moe, moo.
Jack: (singing) I call the one in blue.
Will: (singing) I saw him before you.

  • Notes

  • Allusions

    • Grace: (about Karen) Aw, look at her. So flirty and shy. Like a teenage girl
Will: Yeah. "Are you there, God? I'ts me...Satan."

This is a reference to the Judy Blume coming-of-age book Are You There, God? It's Me, Margaret.

    • Will: You just get out there and win one for the Lisper.

Knute Rockne was the coach of the US Notre Dame team in the 1920s and George Gipp was his star player. The story goes that Gipp fell ill and when dying he asked Rockne to promise that, when things were going badly for the team, he should inspire them by asking them to 'win one for The Gipper'.

    • Karen: I've been married to Stan for so long, the last time I was on a date, Bush was president and we were about to go to war with Iraq.

This is an ironic allusion to both George H. W. Bush's presidency and the impending Operation Desert Storm (1991) and to George W. Bush's presidency and the Iraq War that would take place only 2 months after this episode aired.

    • Jack: Not you, Whora Flynn Boyle!
A reference to The Practice actress Lara Flynn Boyle.

    • Title: Field of Queens
The title is in reference to the 1989 movie Field of Dreams.

    • Kirk: I'm Kirk, the captain.
And Will goes on by saying "So you're Captain Kirk," an obvious reference to Star Trek's famous character.
