    Hi everybody!

I'm a big fan who watch Will & Grace but as a foreigner, I can't understand some jokes maybe because I'm not too familiar with some american culture or play on words...so i hope you can explain me some references or specific vocabular. I'm sure it would help a lot of fans who are not american or english.

For ex, in the 3x02, I don't get:

    -I'm will by the way

    -Mipanko.

    -and why wouldn't you be?

The part is why will said : "why wouldn't you be?". Does Mipanko have an other meaning that a the characters' name?

And what is the "Westside Y" Karen refers to when Jack and her get into a fight at Grace office?

    Thanks!!

The joke ur quoting I don't get either.

But the "Westside Y" if I'm thinking of the right episode she's talking about the YMCA. If you really wanna know what the YMCA so you'll understand the joke u should look it up because I can't reall xplain it.

It's not really a joke. Will just found it odd that Mipanko just kind popped up like that, seeing as he had never met him before and it was the middle of the night. He was just introducing himself, saying he was Will, and Mipanko told him his name. It doesn't mean anything, just his name. And Will was just being sarcastic saying, and why wouldn't you be?

    thanks for the clarification.

In the 3x03, Jack mentioned a "man-tan" reunion.

Is there a play on words in this term? I really don't get the "tan" part

Oops sorry I forgot to ask what "to pull off someone else's" means? (Grace saying)

The man-tan thing is what I understand to be just Jack, Will, Joe, and Larry's name for their little crazy drinking parties.

"to pull off someone else's", if you recall Jack has just said Jack: I don't. Anyways, I'm so excited! Gosh, it's been so many years. I hope I can pull off a thong.

Then Grace says Grace: Isn't the point of these weekends to pull off someone else's?

As in getting into someone else's pants, let's say.

I request an other answer here, please: in 3x05

    GRACE:
He didn't tell them about that time you stood up at
model U.N. with the pee-pee track in your khakis, did he?

    WILL:It was Sprite.

    GRACE:Maybe going in.

What Grace meant by "maybe going in"? I can't get the sense of this sentence.

Also, in the same episode, after the departure of the twins, Will said Luis has forgotten his javelin, and Jack said: "they came with props?"

What did he refer to, when he said "props"?

    thanks!

OK the "Maybe going in" comment was meant to say that Will drank Sprite and then peed in his pants. Jack's comment was meant to imply that they came with some sort of sex toys, or something like that.

I don't get this part in "Last Ex To Brooklyn":

Will: Maybe it's a good thing that she didn't take a ride on the 'Truman Train'.

Leo: Train? You had one passenger!

Will: Yeah but at least she got off.

Does 'getting off' mean that at least Will gave her an orgasm or something? I think that's what it means but I'm not sure.

Will was trying to convince Grace that he just spilled sprite on his pants but, she thought that he peed himself. So, "Maybe going in" means that maybe it was sprite going in but, he peed it out again.

I'm pretty sure that's what that means, b/c Diane said that being with Will was the only time that ever happened.

Yeah they did mention earlier in the episode that Leo never gave her one.

    Me again!

In 3x06, during Karen's conversation on the phone, at the beginning:

I don't really understand the meaning of this sentence:

"I'll make you stay after the class, and make you bang the erasers"

I think there is a sort of play of words with "bang the erasers", maybe something sexual?

And what "short-sheet rosaro's bed" could mean?

    thanks for advance

'bang the erasers' probably has something to do with her huge breats. It would be sooo classic Karen to say something like that... I have to admit that I have no idea what 'short-sheet rosaro's bed' means. It makes some sense in my head but I just can quite get it.

thanks! What about "And you have a pore on your nose you could serve dip out of." in 3x04, after Grace getting mad at Karen because she had thrown her croissandwich.

In 3x06, Will says "what are you? a rock star?" when Grace are boasting about having sex in the kitchen.

What's the matter with the rock star? I don't understant

The first one is just Karen saying that Grace's pores are huge.

The second is just Will mocking Grace.

A lot of times the jokes aren't as complicated as one might think.
