  • Will uses his mother to attract another man while Karen is after Lorraine.

The best storyline is Will struggling to be supportive to his wheelchair bound mother. There's a great scene where Will wishes his mother would fall off the balcony and Karen suggesting that it reminds her of an old Bette Davis' movie! Very sly - and Will's mother not understanding the reference is even better. Then Will uses his mother to attract another man - and Marilyn doing her best to appear interested in Tom's mum. Another great scene where Will mentions that he helps with his mother's hair and Marilyn saying no way! It is interesting to see McDermott playing against type as the 'boyfriend' - but it doesn't last very long! The other storyline with Karen chasing after Lorraine but finding her dad instead starts off interesting. But the scenes where Karen and Finster kiss over and over again - and then it looks like it will happen to Jack - and then it happens again to Karen - becomes a little boring. And disappointingly we don't even get to see Lorraine in this episode!
