Goof: It's necessary for Karen's 'sippy-cup' joke, but it seems very odd that, in setting up the entire apartment to be child-friendly, Grace would leave an entire trolley of alcohol right in front of the play area, especially as it doesn't seem to be a fixture that's there normally.
We learn that Ellen's newest-born baby is named Roman, or "Little Roman" as specifically stated. This is a reference to Debra Messing's son, Roman, who was born in the Spring of 2004.
Barry: Our son Jason could be gay too!
Jason: I'm not gay!
Barry: If you want to go to college, you better be gay! (pause) And Native American too.
Jack: (goes to answer the door) Oh my god, they look like the cast of Roseanne!
Karen: Ah, Smitty, I'm feeling a little down. A friend told me that she didn't think I'd be a good mother.
Smitty: Well, ah, my own mother was shot dead in front of me by her boyfriend when I was twelve. And I've been haunted ever since wondering if I could have saved her.
Karen: (bursting into fits of laughter) I am telling you, you have got to start writing these down!
Karen: I'm ashamed of you. And not just because you look like an audience member from The Price Is Right.
Ellen: Excuse me, this is Ann Taylor Loft.
Karen: (with a Cockney accent) Yes, and I bet when you walked down the street they all loft!
Ellen: Hey, I wanted to bring you this. It's little Roman's DVD, Barney and Friends at the Park.
Grace: Oh, okay, I just gotta make sure I don't mix this up with, uh, Will's DVD, Bernie and Friends at the Gym.
Karen: I raised two step-children on my own.
Grace: Karen, you have a staff of over thirty. Including one who looks exactly like you in case one of the kids wants a hug from "mom" in the middle of the night.
Karen: Honey, that's not fair. I love those kids. And so did "Karen Two."
Jack: So, we were having a meeting with all the executives at OutTV and I had a hugh realization.
Will: That six months ago you were all cater-waiters?
Karen: That six months from now all of you will BE cater-waiters?
Jack: Will, you're mean. Karen, you're hilarious.
This episode was shown at a special time, at 8PM.
Jack: Didn't I tell you it was great?
Will: Yeah, you also said the style was Victor/Victorian, so I didn't have a lot of confidence.
This is an obvious reference to the film and later Broadway musical Victor/Victoria starring Julie Andrews.
Jack: Isn't this house cute? I especially like the eaves. All about eaves.
This is a quick allusion and play on words to the classic Bette Davis film All About Eve.
Will: We're the lazy hazy crazy gays of summer.
This is a reference to and play on words of the Charles Tobias & Hans Carste song 'Lazy Hazy Crazy Days of Summer' recorded by Nat King Cole in 1963.
Will: ...my friend here, he's made of straw.
This line, plus the motion Jack makes are quick and funny references to the Scarecrow in The Wizard Of Oz.
