This was a fine example to Will. The real question to Will was " How gay is gay"? When Jack heres the rude comment Will made about him. Saying that Jack acts too gay(like a girl). Jack shows up to the gym dressed like a "ghetto" man and speaking with a deep voice. Will then realizes he hurt Jack and that he shouldnt be afraid to show "gay pride" if you will! Mean while Grace and Karen are back at the apartment drinking & sharing stories.I think this is the only episode where the girls actually get along!
Will and Jack hit the health club to pump iron, not to mention meet and greet. The fitness center is popular as more than a place to get in shape. It's also a social scene.
Although Jack is the visitor in this case, he winds up feeling more at home than longtime patron Will. Jack is free with his identity-- perhaps too free for his buddy's liking.
Will bristles at Jack's flamboyant habits. Jack, in turn, is shocked that Will doesn't accept him for who he is-- and that Truman is still not entirely comfortable about himself. The battle over different styles of self-expression may wreck their friendship altogether.
Will struggles to resolve the issue and win back his old pal. Meanwhile, a similar clash of personalities unfolds as Grace tries to help Karen shore up her ailing marriage.
A friend in need is a friend indeed. And it doesn't hurt if they look good in gym shorts.
i like how will shows his anger towards jack when he calls him a "fag", yes it's wrong, but deep down he's just sad that he can't be as open as jack is. he loves jack and in a way wishes he could be more like him in terms of being really open to everybody like jack is. a real heartwarming and funny episode.
