  • Quotes

    • Andy Murray: (On his quarter-final victory over Juan Carlos Ferrero) I'm very happy to come through in straight sets. To get to the semis is nice and I will try my best to go further. I served very well all match but it was very hot and there were quite a few mistakes early on, but once I got the first set I started to settle down and returned great.

    • Ivo Karlovic: (On losing out to Roger Federer) I was a little bit nervous in the beginning. In the first two sets he was playing unbelievably. He almost did not give me any chance. In the third set, he went a little bit down and I started playing better. I had my opportunity in one game when I could have broken him, but I missed an easy volley, and that was it.

    • Roger Federer: (On his chances of a 15th Grand-Slam title) It's still far away many points, many serves, many forehands.

    • Novak Djokovic: (On losing out to Tommy Haas) He was serving really well and I knew that the key is going to be my return if I'm going to be able to make him play an extra shot. That's what I didn't do so he deserved to win. I was solid on my service games, but then when I needed to step it up in the important games, I was too nervous in these moments. He took his chances and he played better. Got to give him credit for that.

    • Tommy Haas: (On his victory over Novak Djokovic) I served extremely well and didn't really give him much of a rhythm. He never really got a groove on returning well to maybe get some confidence or break me. Even though he had a chance in the second set, I think the second set was maybe the key for the match in some ways, because the whole time we were both just holding serve pretty comfortably.

    • Lleyton Hewitt: (Disappointment on losing out against Andy Roddick) There are a lot of positives to take out of it like the guys I have beaten, especially Del Potro, the way I went out there and took it to him and played great tennis over three sets against a worthy opponent. Andy is one of the best grass-court players out there and has been to a couple of Wimbledon finals. It is not a bad loss but I would have liked to have snuck through.

    • Andy Roddick: (Coming through a marathon encounter against Lleyton Hewitt) I am super-relieved just coming off court. I have not been in the Grand Slam picture much the last couple of years but am now in my second of the year so far so I am really happy.
