2. From Playback Magazine
The Wind at My Back Christmas Movie follows WAMB character Hub as he falls in love with a nice Jewish girl while studying to be a priest. Turns out, the girl is being hunted by Canadian immigration authorities who, in 1938, were not very receptive to allowing Jews and Jewish refugees into Canada. Hub takes the girl home for Christmas dinner, where everyone is sure to learn some valuable lessons.
3. From CBC Television Website
The Sutton and Bailey families are growing up and returning home for the holidays. But even the small town of New Bedford is not immune from the looming prejudices in Europe. It's a story that weaves together real fears of those difficult times with human compassion, respect and faith that family is still life's greatest treasure.
