Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Windfall has been canceled. Micheal Ausiello of TV Guide was at the NBC press tour and Kevin Reilly (pres of NBC) confirmed that "Windfall is done". Here's the link:

I was *just* reading his blog and noticed the same. I'm pinning this thread for now.

As for the show, I can't say I'm either surprised nor disappointed. But hopefully they'll at least run the entire first season (13 episodes).

Yep, another good show gone, just like "life as we know it." (which also starred jon foster.. damien) There are too much reality shows on tv in my opinion. Can some network keep a decent sitcom/drama show on tv?

Not much of a surprise, very AVERAGE show, interesting theme, but spoiled by uninteresting stories, even the major plots got old within seven episodes, the whole dangerous and all.

I blame the writers, because even tho the cast wasn't exactly A-list, they did some pretty good job, bad dialogue and bad stories killed this show.

Every good show out there is being cancelled! What is the deal? I wish it was not ending.

Not a surprise at all. I mean, sure, the show wasn't the best but it kept me watching week after week. And it was something new to look foward to during the summer. Well, it was good while it lasted. But it obvious since the second/third ep it was destined to fail.

Hope we can get the full season aired. Don't see why not. Nothing else during that time. And a DVD release. A good one, too.

Not a surprise. Ratings became pretty bad after the debut.

damn I was really into it, I don't know why, but I just couldn't miss it. I guess because it was finally a new type of show that got me hooked? Heh, but hey any show thats a summer show is more likely to fail seeing as people do more stuff rather than watch tv.

I totally agree. Who are these people with the Neilson boxes? They lack taste.

This show would have been canceled had it debuted in the fall. It was too boring to maintain any sort of viewership. I wish it would have done better though because then other networks would have been more willing to take chances with new series in the summer. Now we are stuck with Big Brother three times a week...

I really enjoy this show, this is the only show so far this summer that has kept me on my toes waiting for the next eposide, but maybe I'm missing what everyone else is saying.

This was a show in the 'Guilty Pleasure' category, it was a very bad show that kept me wanting to see more.

I wouldn't be so quick to blame writers. Anyone who knows a sliver about network tv realizes writers take the hit for network and advertiser meddling. The pilot was good, then the show fell into gross, predictable cliche. Viewers seem to forget how difficult it is to get a network to do anything innovative.

OKay, I have to complain. Every freakin TV show that I get into gets cancelled. I was just telling my co-worker today that I really like this show and I hope they don't cancel it. THis is so frustrating. They better not leave us hanging like they did with:
    Soap
    My So Called Life
    Tru Calling
    Reunion
