Wings of the Honneamise is a 1987 Japanese animated movie produced by Gainax and Bandai Visual. Despite that it was a poor performer at the box office, Honneamise has become extremely popular with anime fans today. The film depicts an industrial civilization on Earth giving birth to a war between the Kingdom of Honneamise and an organization called the Republic.
