  • Wings.

Outside of a few clips from the series finale, this was really my first exposure to Wings, but after watching this episode, and liking it, I might have to go out of my way to check out the show when it is on television more often. Chris Elliot was a great person to cast for the role of the crazy neighbor, but I suppose the Get a Life and Everybody Loves Raymond actor is good in everything he does. Not only was that whole storyline funny, but you had Tim Daly make a Separate Ways (Worlds Apart) reference when Steven Weber was miming playing the guitar. That alone is enough to make me a fan of the program.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • Watch for one of (arguably) the funniest moments in Wings history, when Antonio (Tony Shaloub) discovers that the love affair his deceased Uncle Bernardo was carrying on was NOT with Gina Lollobrigida, but rather, Gino Lollobrigida...

Shaloub, in fact, gets so caught up in the hilarity of the moment, he briefly (but very clearly) drops his character's Italian accent. For confirmation of this, check out the episode on YouTube, and listen closely when he utters the line, "....that's.......that's not as good"

while speaking to Roy and Fay at (approximately) the 17:00 minute mark of the episode).
