When Brian puts on his jacket at the lunch counter, he slides one arm into a sleeve, then after a camera angle change he has both arms in sleeves.
The Japanese movie (Samurai Without a Name) that Brian brings home at the beginning of the episode is actually just scenes from James Clavell's Shogun.
Continuity Goof: After the aborted wedding ceremony, they jump from Joe's Cessna 402 - low winged two-engine model - but from the outside it's a high-winged single-engine plane
Continuity Goof: Joe and Helen kick Brian out of the house on a Friday night. However, the next day at work, it is once again Friday! HUH?

This refers to the famous tag/quote from the 1970 movie Love Story. It starred Ryan O'Neal and Ali McGraw as doomed lovers. The original quote was, "Love means never having to say you're sorry."
