Roy's 12th Birthday is coming up (he was born on a Leap Year) and Helen surprises Roy with a visit from his son, R.J. The family reunion hits a snag when Roy is unable to accept the fact that his son is gay and has a boyfriend. Can Roy get past his 'I'm from a different generation' -inspired prejudice?
Meanwhile, Brian learns the rules of taxi cab driving. Antonio is waiting for his drivers license to arrive, and so Brian gets to become a temporary taxi cab driver, learning rules, like don't discuss controversial subjects with customers.
Most of the Brian/Antonio tax cab scenes are funny, although when an upset R.J. is in the cab, with his boyfriend, having just been [essentially] disowned by his father, the 'joke' that Brian cannot saying nice to R.J. because that would be talking about religion/politics, is more awkward then funny.
Overall this is a great episode about the relationship between a father and son, and how ***phobia can damage the relationship.
