  • I was really skeptical about the show continuing without DI Carol Jordan but any fears I had were laid to rest. It's just as gripping as before and I think they did a great job introducing the new DI.moreless

The only thing that I didn't understand was what exactly happened to Carol. I can understand Tony calling an answering machine and running his ideas past it as though Carol was listening but maybe they'll never explain what happened to her ... sounds like she didn't want him to know she was leaving.

  • QUOTES (2)

    • Alex Fielding: Dr. Hill, will you give us a profile?
Tony Hill: I'm a clinical psychologist, not a profiler.

    • Alex Fielding: Why do you dismiss Loomis?
Tony Hill: I don't dismiss Loomis, I just don't think it's him. The relationship our killer has with women, it involves distance anonymity, shedding of inhibition. In other words the 'net. Working side by side in an office, well it just doesn't (long pause) Well, it just doesn't.
Alex Fielding: Yeah, but even in an office you can have an anonymous relationship online.
Tony Hill: You're right, I'm completely wrong.
Alex Fielding: Carol Jordon might have found that funny, I just find it really annoying.
Tony Hill: Oh don't worry, she found it annoying as well.

  • NOTES (1)

    • This episode received its worldwide premiere on ABC in Australia on 11 August 2006. It was broadcast in the UK on 20 September 2006.

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • The "World of Vor" series of S.F. novels to which Tony refers is an allusion to the "Gor" series of novels by John Norman. Sadly, the description of the 'proper position for women' that is quoted — if not a direct quote — is an accurate description of the attitude of these books.
