All the W.I.T.C.H. girls go on holiday to a beach house with Irma's family while Caleb and Blunk go searching for the Knights of Vengence in Meridian. Nerissa tries to turn the Guardians against each other by saying and doing horrible things(such as teasing Hay Lin about the fact she has no boyfriend and dissing Caleb in front of Cornelia) to them while posing as the other guardians. The Oracle shows up telling them they can no longer be guardians as they're not in harmony. But W.I.T.C.H. realise this isn't the oracle... It's Nerissa. Battle ensues an Caleb and Blunk turn up. The battle wakes the Lair's so W.I.T.C.H. lie and say there was fireworks and Cornelia burries Caleb and Blunk in the Sand!!moreless
  • Very good way to break them up but did not work.

I think this is a funny episode but who noticed what the girls were wearing especially when they went through the haunted house. I think the people who animated this made them dress really nice! And the setting was nice too for the story. Pitting them against another is a great way to get the story going when the other stories loose their edge. This should answer questions like if they ever get in arguments and would they break up too. I think that if this was real, then the same thing would happen. At the end nice entrance by Caleb but could have been better at the very end instead toward the endmoreless

The rebellion tracked the Knights of Vengeance to a canyon and is fighting them, but when Gargoyle causes a massive avalanche, the battle had to be cut short. Lucky for Caleb Blunk was there to rip to Earth, or he would be a goner, but now they have to search for the Knights again... Meanwhile, the Guardians are consulting the Council of Kandrakar about the old hag's, Nerissa's attacks, when the old hag was there all along, but in disguise... But since the Council has no idea who the old hag is, the Guardians decided to take time off their duty and go to the beach together, unaware that Nerissa will be joining them, trying to turn them against each other by using disguises of themselves, while Caleb and Blunk are stuck in Meridian, sneaking up on the Knights of Vengeance...moreless
  • While the girls are on summer vacation, Nerissa decides to pay a little visit, but only in illusive form.

A brilliant episode. At the end of the episode, you can finally see that they are truly in tune with each other. Throughout most of the first season, I never felt that Will was considered much as part of the group, but now I can finally see them as a whole, not I.T.C.H. plus W. You can see though, that they are so emphatically different that emotions are strung very tight. In the end though, I find that comforting, because in real life, the best friends are often the most different. There are too many TV shows out there that have best friends without showing any of there quarrels. By this point in time, you can definitely tell that Hay Lin wants a boy toy of her own, which I find very sad. No where in the books does it say that a character on a TV show or book, even life, has to have a companion. I find her personality, while similar to mine, to be just as grand with or without a boyfriend. And, of course, I am not dragging my own issues into the mixture. Um... yeah, right... sure. Wonderful episode.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • Nitpick: Cornelia said she was afraid of water and couldn't swim in the episode, The Underwater Mines, but here she is seen in the water and on a surfboard many times.

    • Goof: When Nerissa, looking like Will, goes up to Hay Lin on the dock she has Will's shadow.

    • Goof: When Cornelia is in Kandrakhar and telling the Council about her telekinesis, we can see that her skirt has another "swirl" right next to her original one, but when the camera angle changes and we cut back to W.I.T.C.H, the extra swirl is gone.

  • QUOTES (5)

  • NOTES (1)

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • The settings of the kiss Caleb and Cornelia share in this episode are a reference to the famous beach scene between Burt Lancaster and Deborah Kerr in the 1953 black-and-white movie From Here to Eternity.
