AIRED:
Every student in Sheffield Institute is getting his midterms back and everybody is just about happy with his grades, except Taranee. While in the bookstore, the W.I.T.C.H. girls inadvertently touch an inversion point and find themselves in the middle of a Labyrinth inside Phobos’ castle. PROS

    - We finally get a good Taranee centered episode

    - Good introduction of Trill the kitchen worker and the battle scenes against the Tracker was awesome

    - Seeing the girls trying to flirt with a snake monster in disguise was hilarious

    - We finally see how the desperate the citizens of Meridian really are

    - The guardians finally are aware that Phobos has a long-lost sister on Earth

    - The girls confront Prince Phobos for the first time

    - The fact that Mister Puddington lost the A+ test was hilarious, along with the Husband and Wife scene

    CONS

    - The actual Labyrinth part of this episode could have been done better as this was the focus of this episode

    - It would have been better if Caleb participated in the battle scenes, he's a warrior and lately he's just being all snooty on Earthmoreless

nice episode. based on comix #6's ending. maybe they exxagarated about the labyrinth's events- in the comix it's just some pages. if i was producer or director, i would call this episode "the librarynth".

they couldn't add the original reason why the guardians arrived to "ye olde books" in the comix, because in the comix the guardians already knew then that "Rick Hofman" is Lord Cedric. they heard about it from Elyon in comix #5. in the show they don't know. they add in the episode great idea- Cornelia's sweater as tracking the exit. intresting me what happened if Cornelia was wearing normal clothes.moreless
  • This was one episode Taranee will never forget...

Cedric, Phobos's faithful servant, is in disguise as a bookseller, and is trying to get as close as he can to find the rightful heir to the throne of Meridian. In school, the girls receive their essays on ancient Greece. Irma got a B, Hay Lin got a B, and Taranee-nothing. It seemed that she "forgot to turn in an essay" as her teacher said. That meant she got an F... Later, the girls went to a bookstore, and it just so happens that they went to Cedric's new shop. They went to find a book on middle ages, but got lost instead. They found a book with Meridian writing. They tried to open it, but ended up in the Meridian castle labyrinth. Unfortunately for them, Will wasn't in the group, so they couldn't transform. But they had an expert that led them out of the labyrinth: Taranee. She got an F on her "essay", but her skills in the labyrinth was an A+! Meanwhile, when Will and Caleb found out from Blunk what happened to the girls, they went right away, and luckily, they found the others much faster...moreless

  • I really think if it\\\'s based on \\\"illusions and lies\\\" it should follow the book more accurately.

I really think if it\\\'s based on \\\"Ilussions and lies\\\" it should follow the book more accurately.I mean Cornelia loses her sweater? c\\\'mon! and Elyon\\\'s still in Heatherfield?That\\\'s just ridiculous! And above all...They always wear the exact same clothes and hair!At least in the books there wardrobe\\\'s always diffrent!I mean, wear are Irma\\\'s pigtails? and Will\\\'s doormouse? And Will\\\'s hoddie is grey and orange not pink.and cornelia is not a complete and absolute fashion freak in the W.I.T.C.H. book series.and wear the heck are Hay Lin\\\'s goggles and goofy home-made fashions? And Hay Lin\\\'s Grandma is supposed to be in Candracar! And Taranee is Indian (as in from India) In the book series!moreless

  • TRIVIA (4)

    • Goof: When Irma says "Still think it's one of us?", she says it in Taranee's voice.

    • Goof: Just before the point where Taranee is all out of thread from Cornelia's sweater, there is a big chunk of sweater left, then the next scene, it is reduced to a thread. How could that happen so fast?

    • Goof: When Irma and Hay Lin are talking in class before getting their midterm essays back, Irma says something in Hay Lin's voice, then switches back to original voice.

    • Goof: When Will leaves home with Blunk, it's nighttime. However when they show the outside of the bookstore where Will and Caleb are, it's daytime again.

    • Irma: I lost consciousness somewhere around Zeus's third wife.
Zeus, the leader of the gods and god of the sky and thunder in Greek mythology, was the husband of Hera, but had numerous consorts among goddesses, mortal women, and nymphs.

    • Labyrinth:
In Greek mythology, the Labyrinth was an elaborate maze constructed for King Minos of Crete and designed by the legendary artificer Daedalus to hold the Minotaur, a creature that was half man and half bull and was eventually killed by the Athenian hero Theseus. Theseus was aided by Ariadne, who provided him with a fateful thread to wind his way back out of the maze.
