A typical tale of a PI that goes missing with some insight into Malone's emotional slide. The case was pretty standard with the PI having multiple suspects for his abduction. He was spying on a ton of people, he got involved with a drug addict, and was accused of being a pedophile. In the end he was found alive and proven innocent of all bad assumptions. Which I have to say were weak not understanding how a simple fight could make anyone have such an assumption. Malone gets real close to a sex slave victim that he rescued. He emotional destroyed at the pain she has suffered and most likely seeing his own daughters in her. A watchable episode back to the just another WAT days back when the show didn't have sparks of genius but still tolerable for me.moreless

  • Not very good!

This is my first review here;-) Episode was not very good! To be honest I was boring during waching this story. Plot was not interested. Only Jack and his story about that girl...I forgot how that case touched Jack and like usually Tony Lapaglia gave us thrilling performance! I'm Jammer so I was waiting for some J&S moments. Finally, last scene - very sad. Sam wants help but Jack pushes her away! I know Jack is hard man, withdrawn but why he can't let Sam in? Why they can be together? For me only scenes with Jack were worth to wacht, rest was boring.moreless

  • A private investigator goes missing. The team finds out that he had many enemies, and there was lots of people who could possibly have hurt him.

Did I miss something? What was with Terry coming and asking Jack to talk to Jen. I remember the episode. I remember Jack was the one who got her out of the cage. But was there some special thing that happened between the two of them that lead Jen's mother to believe Jack could help Jen? I felt it was just a cheap shot to get Terry back in an episode, and/or give Jack something else to drink about.

I hate criticizing this show, but this episode was not all that original. Yes, the missing guy had lots of enemies - doesn't everyone? And I found it highly unlikely that a drugged out addict could overpower a young, strong, albeit not in such great shape, man. But, reality aside, that is not why we watch fiction.
I do love the way Jack Malone can tear up so convincingly. Though, maybe he needs some antihistamines because his eyes were red the entire episode.
Samantha was showing some ample cleavage. And I thought that was totally out of character. Yeah, I know, she's pregnant. We all know breats get bigger with gestation. But I hope they are not going to try and sex her up more. She is perfect just the way she is! Though she has seemed a lot happier since the whole pregnancy thing - and an Sassy Agent Spade with a smile is better than a sorrowful Samantha with a chip on her shoulder.

But Without a Trace is like pizza. When it's good, it's really, really good. But when it's bad, it's still pretty good.moreless

Samantha: She's thirteen years old, Jack, what were you supposed to tell her? Jack: The things that happened to that kid...they're gonna come back to her. Samantha: I don't think you lied. I think you gave her hope. Edit
