  • I looks I need like week or two break of this show and after that I like every episode..

Weird.. Third episode in row after my break watching it and I like it.. every episode.. they have different themes but they have that kind of strong emotion, high meaning.. something deep and strong in the end.

I think in this episode, what strike me most was the ending.. the way it all worked out - not good for so many. The hostage situation, the way that soldier found himself in no win situation and he did the one thing he think he could.. And that poor woman.. trying to run out but Danny.. (or was it Martin..) holding her back.. that last scene.. brilliant.. something you won't forget so soon.moreless

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • The bank that Grant and Whiting rob is in Tyrone, Pennsylvania, a small town in Blair County with an approximate population of 6,000.

    • Goof: When Taylor and Malone are first entering Iraq and flying, a door gunner with an M-60 Machine Gun is visible. The US Army took the M-60 out of service because of it's poor reliability after the US came back from Somalia in the 1990s.

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Jack Malone: There's no conspiracy, just a lot of good men in a tough situation.
Captain Myers: What did you find out about Grant?
Jack Malone: That you should go ahead and give him his medal.

    • Danny Taylor: I hear you got into it with CPF Grant.
      Sergeant MacAfee: Man, honestly?
Danny Taylor: (sarcastically) No, lie to me.

    • Jack calls Vivian from Iraq
      Jack Malone: Greetings from Tikrit.
Vivian Johnson: Hey, how's it going over there?
Jack Malone: It's good, it's good. It's hot.
Vivian Johnson: You wearing your SPF 40?
Jack Malone: 15. I'm coming back from here with at least a sun tan.

    • Danny Taylor: You don't seem too worried about your brother.
Tim Grant: The guy survived Iraq. What kind of trouble could he get into here?

    • Title: "Gung Ho"

The title of this episode is a reference to the unofficial motto for the US Marine Corps. Gung Ho is a word abbreviated from the Mandarin Gongye Hezhoushe or industrial cooperative. The phrase was a mix of two words and their initial characters (The word Gung he), which means "work together."
