Episode Summary

A young journalist, Molly, goes missing after getting involved in a political scandal. As the story unfolds Molly goes from an ambitious career journalist to a repented, guilt ridden individual who decides to give up journalism after seeing the harm she has caused to so many people by trying to unveil the scandal (especially to the politician's ex girlfriend who is suicidal because of the break-up). While Molly discovers all that the politician (played by Nicholas Lea of X Files fame, namely Krychec) hires someone to abduct her and keep her out of the way. The case is finally solved and we get to ponder on the expense ambition and career has on someone's personal feelings and psyche.

In the meantime Jack lets Martin have it because of the mess-up with Kim, but he manages to save his job so I suppose everything will turn out okay with him in the end. Samantha and Brian spend time together, as he now lives with her, and the more time they spend the more fun they seem to be having. On the other hand she and Jack are drifting a little apart due to work and the Brian issue. Jack puts his daughter above everything and while he understands the situation, he is mindful of the events and very cautious with Samantha. I really started to wonder about their relationship in this episode. I used to think everything would be alright with them but after seeing Samantha have such a great time with Brian, I have to wonder... Hope they don't break up again.moreless
