It can be difficult to keep two separate storylines going simultaneously, but so far this season "Without a Trace" has shown that it is up to the task. The story of the ex-convict's disappearance and Vivian's investigation are both very well done and are presented in such a way that one doesn't overshadow the other and both hold the viewer's interest well. Henry Thomas has certainly grown up from his days as Elliot in ET: The Extra Terrestrial. Thomas shows he is still capable of a strong performance after many years in Hollywood.Without a Trace looks to have another good season.moreless
  • woww. this was such a good episode.

i was actually really suprised with this episode. reading the description i thought it was, typical ex con gets back to her past. but it asnt this woman was in jail for seven years for stealing money. she comes out and tries to reconnect with her two sons. one doesnt accept her, and the other has turned to stealing himself. well i wont give away that part, but i thought this was a really clever storyline. also going on is vivians case, and she gets a break in it. one of the girls calls her mom with a phone that was left from the plumber in the place she was held. i guess she was like a prostitute or something, but they found the place. and most of the girls were gone already. vivian was very good especially in this episode. here scene with the different johns was really funny. i think this balanced both stories very well.moreless

Good episode with Vivian and her task force finally doing something and us getting one step closer to the sex slave ring. The other aspect of the episode the case of the ex-con mother who vanished. It had minimal twist and turns the focus was really on how the family reacted post her release. It was so disturbing how her son killed her and just left her in a ditch to die. Whatever she did or was some lines you don't cross when it comes to your family. Good episode and even the ring leader of the sex slave gang is still out there good episode.moreless
  • Sometimes this show should disappear.

Don't get me wrong, I like this show, however sometimes there are too many things that are a little hard to believe, and a little silly. My main gripe with this episode was once the team had the well dressed man in custody, they didn't grill him about where he had come from, or why he was there, or who his family was, or anything. They just took his word for it that he was just a customer. Well given that he ran from the feds, "feeling scared cause it's my first time" is not a reasonable excuse that the team should accept. Added to this was the fact that Vivian was hot on the trail of the missing girl, wouldn't you take a picture of the guy and show it to her prior to releasing a potential criminal back onto the streets? The well dressed man was meant to help the scetch artist if I believe as well, now where was that drawing? If the team can't find this guy, and he commits more crimes, Vivian should lose her job.moreless
  • great episode...

The team investigates the disappearance of a mother that recently got out of jail. It turned out that her son accidentally ran into her with the car and killed her. That was so sad. He just wanted to be a family and he didn't mean to kill her. His brother was really sweat to him after. It was so sad. Meanwhile, the team found some of the girls beaten and broused after hard searching. They let the trafficker go by accident. The search will continue. I really liked both stories in this episode. They were interesting and emotional and I seriously almost cried. Overall, one of my favorite this season.moreless
