Goof: When the two goons kick in Maria's apartment door, the molding and several other pieces of the door jamb go flying. Later that same day, Jack brings Travis to the apartment and the door completely repaired with a key to unlock the lock.
Goof: During the scene where Samantha is talking to Jack at her desk, her hair changes between shots. In the close-up shots, there's a piece of hair dangling on each side of her face but in the wider shots the piece of hair on her left side is behind her ear.
Potential goof: When Elena holds up her iPhone to show Martin the message she just received saying that NYPD just spotted Adam Miller's car, what's on the screen looks nothing like the iPhone text message app. It does however look very much like the iPhone Notes app.
Goof: In one of the earlier re-enactments of the scene where Mario lets Julie go, he tells her to walk away, pushes her on the chest, and says, "walk away before I change my mind." In a later re-enactment, he says the line first, pushes her after, and says, "go!" as he does.
Goof: Although the date stamp on the still photo taken at the drive thru is 02/03/09, but it clearly isn't February in the New York City area in several of the exterior shots. This is most notable in the state park location where the trees and bushes are covered in lush green foliage.
Goof: At the end of the episode, Jack fires a cannon, a shell whistling through the air is heard, and then hits a car off camera. It's unlikely that re-enactors of war would have a live round in any of their firearms.
Goof: When Samantha interviews the older man, the camera gives us a front view and she has her legs crossed; but when the camera pans out and gives us a side view, her legs are uncrossed.
Goof: The victim, Lacy, wins the New York City Lottery but it does not exist in state of New York. The only lotteries in New York State are the New York State Lottery and the multi-state Powerball Lottery.
Goof: When Jack Malone presents Samantha Spade with a banana, he holds the banana out to Sam during the dialogue. The camera angle changes as he turns to sit on her desk and the banana is no longer in his hand or anywhere else in the scene. However, as he gets up to leave, it's back in his hand.
This is the second Jerry Bruckheimer production to be entitled Deja Vu. The first being the 2006 film Deja Vu
Vivian Johnson speaks French with an Haitian accent.
Rob Brownstein (Eli Rudolph) previously guest starred as a different character in the Season 3 episode "Penitence."
Goof: The PI could not have been at the intersection of '5th and the West Side Highway' because there is no such intersection in New York City.
Goof: In the scene with Jack and Sean in the restroom, the toilet seat alternates between being up and down when cutting between camera angles.
Goof: Sam asks if a W2 and I9 were part of the employment record. While the W2 is the form issued at the end of the year for tax filing purposes, Sam meant to is W4 which is the federal tax withholding form.
Goof: Kenosha is on the Wisconsin/Illinois border and is often referred to as a South Milwaukee or Northern Chicago suburb. The population in 2006 was reported as 164,400 (4th largest city in the state of Wisconsin). The area surrounding the Kenosha is mostly farmland, however, it isn't a wooden evergreen forest as depicted in the episode.
The rest of the note written to Rebecca at the coffee shop at the beginning of the episode, that Elena doesn't want to read out lout, reads 'pop your cherry'.
Samantha and her sister Emily don't see each other too much, and Jack likens it to his relationship with his brother, whom he also doesn't see much.
The name of boat is named Lantana (seen on the life ring in pictures) which is also the same name of a 200 film, Lantana, that Anthony LaPaglia starred in.
Goof: Although the episodes show a N.Y.P.D. S.W.A.T. bus pulling up, N.Y.P.D. don't actually have a SWAT unit but the E.S.U. - (Emergency Service Unit).
