  • Girl meets Boy.

I really like this episode because Alex starts a new relationship, and with a British boy in her art class named Mason. Apparently, Alex is one of those girls who is easily charmed by an accent. The thing between her and Mason was really cute, like where they were flirting by playing their own little games that led to a very special connection. And that little romantic montage they had was hillarious! Anyway, though Alex and Mason are compatible, the only thing that comes between them is Mason's muse in his artwork; this being American History and dogs combined. Alex is willing to be accepting until he wants to paint her... hmph, as a dog! So she uses magic on so she (as herself) would be his muse. But he soon becomes committed to only painting her! Now, the conflict that Alex had caused in her relationship was a little too short for the episode, and I thought it should have taken longer for her realize that what she did was wrong before she fixed it. Atleast when Alex decided to un-charm Mason, rather than it being about Mason getting on her nerves, it was really because she knew it was best for Mason. That just shows that Alex is growing up a bit more. Oh, and the romantic kiss in the rain was a nice touch (Alex just loves to do things by those movies). And Jerry trying to train Justin in monster hunting was good too. I'm glad to see that Justin is still searching for Juliet, and it's good that his family is there to help him, no matter how misguided his dad or Max is. Good episode!moreless
  • This episode is pretty good.... but pretty romantic....

I like that episode but kinda boring when Alex is doing something for Alex's boyfriend. It make me feel still and just watching that episode and that okay. But "Wizards vs. Werewolves" is much better I've ever seen! "Alex Charms a Boy" and "Wizards vs. Werewolves" is pretty fascinating and romantic and sad. How interesting is that. This is fascincating that describes to "Alex Charms a Boy" photo image on tv.com and photo image looks fascintating. That pretty cool and good. I really enjoy watching whole Wizards of Waverly Place episode I've really love. So... what's season 3, episode 10?moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (6)

    • In the episode "Beware Wolf", Isabella said that when you kiss a werewolf you turn into a werewolf, but at the end of this episode Mason kissed Alex and she didn't turn into a werewolf. This is because is

This is because, as Mason mentioned, it only happens when a cross breed werewolf kisses a non werewolf. Mason is a pure breed, which is why Alex doesn't turn into a werewolf when he kisses her. It was mentioned in the episode.

    • Magical Objects Featured:

Muse Shell- Makes whoever blows it the artistic muse of whoever hears it.
Rear-view goggles - Allows the wearer to see everything behind them at all times.

    • In the episode Future Harper from Season 2, Harper from the future asks Alex, "Did you and Mason break up already?", which could possibly be referring to the Mason in this episode.

    • Mr. Laritate appears to be still teaching art class, but previously in the episode Art Teacher he said he was going to resign and hire a real art teacher.

    • In this episode, it's revealed that when Max set the monsters loose in Monster Hunter, he set the mummy loose along with them. The mummy was seen attacking Justin before Alex sent the monsters to Spain.

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Mason: How would you feel about maybe going for some tea later? Then you can make me say all kinds of things that make you laugh.
Alex: Okay. But if "go for tea" doesn't mean a date, then I'm going to be really embarrassed. And that whole accent thing, girls see right through it. (under her breath) No they don't...

    • Harper: Don't you see what you've done? Used magic to make your relationship OK. I don't think that's right.
Alex: Harper, doing what's right has never really been my goal.

    • Mason: My name's Mason Greybeck.
Alex: Mason Greybeck. That sounds like the name of a game show host. Like, "Mason Greybeck, I'll take Bridges for a thousand, please."
Mason: (imitating game show host) Oh, your question is, "I think you're cute. What do you think of me"?
Alex: (imitates buzzer) We're out of time.

    • Mason: Sorry. I think you dropped this.
      Alex: No. That's not mine.
Mason: Yeah, I know. I needed an excuse to come and talk to you.

  • NOTES (1)

    • Harper: Mr. Russo, are you quoting Billy Joel?

Billy Joel is a famous singer and pianist, who single-handedly wrote a large number of hit songs during the 70s, 80s, and 90s. The quote that Jerry told Alex "Don't go changing, to try to please me" is actually lyric from Billy Joel's hit song "Just The Way You Are".

    • Alex: Mason Greybeck. That sounds like the name of a game show host. Like, "Mason Greybeck, I'll take Bridges for a thousand, please."

This is referring to the game show Jeopardy, hosted by Alex Trebek. In the game, contestants ask for a special category and wager certain amounts. For example the contestant would say, "I'll take (certain category) for (certain amount), Alex".

    • Character Name: Mason Greybeck

Mason Greybeck, the name for Alex's boyfriend, has nearly the same last name of Fenrir Greyback, a werewolf in J.K. Rowling's famous book series, Harry Potter.
