better than Alex Tells the World. I havn't really seen this episode that much. when i first saw it i hated it and the more i saw it the more i liked it. so that's why the score is this high. i actually starting to worry because i was hoping that season 4 would begin a streak of good wizards of waverly place episodes not bad. if they keep it up this show would drop in my standings. overall better than Alex tells the worldmoreless
  • Could Have Been Better

    6.0
I've only seen this episode maybe three times and I don't remember much since it's forgettable. I usually only remember the episodes that are excellent but since this episode wasn't too good, I don't really remember much. It's not a terrible episode but it's also not good either. This episode just could have been better in my opinion. From what I remember, Alex wants to quit the wizard competition so she can be with Mason forever and ever. Although, the Chancellor did tell Alex "The werewolf always ends up eating the human" so things go to a bad turn for Alex. The plot with Jerry and Teresa being invited to some yacht with a couple of monsters was alright as well. I do remember laughing at some parts in this episode but I don't remember most of them. All I do remember is laughing at some of Max's lines in this episode but I forgot which ones since I've only seen this episode like three times. The yacht scene from what I remember wasn't too good also and it was weak if you ask me. Alex decides to break up with Mason and then they decide to become friends. Unfortunately, Alex and Mason get back together in "Journey to the Center of Mason". Overall, this was just an okay episode of "Wizards of Waverly Place" but most of the things I saw from this episode in the past are forgettable and wasn't too good... it's not a bad episode though. 6/10moreless

Well, the streak of great episodes of Wizards of Waverly Place ends at 2, but this was still an enjoyable half hour of television, even if I cannot put the great label on it.

What I liked was still the random, out of the box humor that Todd J. Greenwald gives us with this show. Why was Justin randomly teaching delinquents? Why would Max be prepared for a swim at all times?

Certainly a funny episode, and I think that it is the right time to end the Mason relationship. I would rather see some interesting dynamics created with Alex dating some other people.moreless

I really did want to like this episode, even though I have never liked this show since it premiered on Disney Channel, I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt, considering how long it's been running and how successful it has been. But nope, still not liking the series four years later.

It's definitely not as bad as Suite Life on Deck, and maybe it's a bit better than Hannah Montana post season 2, but this is still a bad show. I mean no one can relate to this show, no one. And I hated the werewolf/wizard relationship. Like are you serious? I had no idea what they were trying to do there, but obviously it was a mistake.

Other than a good looking cast, maybe some good one liners here and there, this show really isn't anything to write home about. It's just as bad as everything else on Disney right now, who knows, maybe this just wasn't the greatest comeback episode to watch.moreless

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • This episode officially establishes Harper's destiny as revealed in Future Harper, in which she begins writing stories based off of the Russo's lives as wizards. Her first novel, apparently, is about Alex's relationship with Mason.

  • QUOTES (2)

    • @Harper: Nicely played, Alex. For a second, I thought you guys were going to have to break up. Once [Chancellor Tootietootie] gets to that gets to that Cucuy party, he'll be so grateful, he'll bend all the rules for you.
Mason: Oh, now I get it! I just thought Alex was being uncharacteristically generous.
      (Alex and Harper laugh)

    • (after seeing Max's picture on Future Wizard magazine)
Justin: You didn't even win the competition! That's it! I'm doing whatever it takes to get back into this thing. But first, I'm going to draw a silly mustache and maybe a uni-brow to express my discontent.
