I stopped watching Wizards of Waverly Place because of the entire Max/Maxine story arc. Plus this season hasn't been that great so I decided to stop watching all together. I was interested in the return of Max and how they would handle the situation, and surprisingly, it wasn't that bad.

I actually found myself laughing at some of the Harper & Maxine scenes, which really is surprising, since both of them are probably my least favorite characters. I actually liked Maxine, and I regretted my decision as the episode was over.

The story arc never interested me because I never liked the Max character. So a whole season arc devoted to him? Nahh. Overall, solid comeback of Wizards of Waverly Place. Actually brought some laughs to the table.moreless
  • this is one of their bests in a while

Justin and Alex try to hide Maxine from Professor Crumbs, because they are worried that Maxine will tell him she is Max, and that Justin and Alex turned him into a girl. They try to fix it, but inadvertently turn Professor Crumbs into a young boy. Will they be able to fix both their problems now?

Good episode. Professor Crumbs as a kid was really funny, and I liked Maxine finally turning back into Max ( I liked Maxine, but that scenario was kind of time-filler I think). Overall this is one of their best episodes in a while, I thought, so because of all of this my final grade is an A.moreless
  • Max is back... at the end of this episode

I thought that this was a perfect episode of "Wizards of Waverly Place". It's not the funniest episode I've ever seen but the plot was very well done and that's what matters. I thought Harper hugging Maxine very hard angrily because he got the role to sing "Home on the Range" at the "Spirit of America Play" was funny. It was also funny how Alex and Justin turned Professor Crumbs into a little boy and Professor Crumbs was enjoying being young again. The gang trying to come up with the spell to turn Maxine back to Max was cool. It was funny when Maxine told Professor Crumbs (who is a little boy) that he has crumbs on his beard and she said you should be called Crumbs when Maxine doesn't even know that it is Professor Crumbs. It was also funny how Alex got Maxine to drink the potion and then Maxine burped. It was also funny when Harper was dressed as the cactus while Maxine is singing. It turned out that the potion just needed to take a while to turn Professor Crumbs back to his elder self and Maxine back to Max. Max is back at the end of this episode. Welcome back Max, but good-bye Maxine. I am going to miss Maxine though because she was cute and I liked her but it's awesome that Max is back. I will miss you as Maxine, Bailee Madison. Overall a perfect episode of "Wizards of Waverly Place".moreless

A surprisingly funny episode of Wizards of Waverly Place here. The show had been slipping a bit as of late, but it is good to see WWP still has some laughs in it. Both storylines were good today with Alex and Justin struggling with a younger Crumbs and the parents volunteering against their will. Humorous exchange between Jerry, Theresa and the Principal and anytime Mr. Laritate is on screen you're guaranteed to be laughing.

The episode also saw Jake T. Austin return to the role of Max, after a brief absence. Why they did this, I don't know, but Wizards will be better with I am back I am sure of it.moreless
