When Alex was dressed as a doll, it can be noticed that she isn't wearing a bra.
Jerry's football phone is clearly a Denver Broncos team football with the logo marked out.
Justin should not have had to give up all his money to get the doll house back from Olive. If Justin had $400, he could have offered Olive a smaller price, since the doll house wouldn't be that expensive.
According to his old yearbook, Jerry went to Tribeca Prep, the same high school as Alex, Justin, and Max.
"Shrinka Dink, Shrinka Dank, Shrinka Dunk"- makes objects or a person shrink. The spell also turns them back to normal size.
Harper wears the same outfit throughout this episode.
Alex: If you are going to be a part of this family, you should know that we don't 'group hug'.
Harper: Aw, it already feels like home.
Harper: I'm moving.
Alex: (surprised) What?
Theresa: What do you mean you're moving?
Harper: My dad got transferred to Pittsburg.
Alex: Harper, you're my best friend, you can't leave. What about school?
Harper: Well, I would finish school if we had family in town, but we don't. Well actually we do, but they won't tell us were they live.
Alex: Well, we're your family too.
Theresa: That's right Harper, we are her for you.
Jerry: Because you are always here for us. Always here. Always...
Alex: Hey, you know what we should do? We should let Harper move into the basement! That would be great for me, us, her!
Harper: Really? (excitedly) Well let me ask my mom for permission. (talks on her cellphone) Mom, you were right! They did ask. Okay, bye! (hangs up phone and stands up) She said yes, group hug!
Justin: You and your mom manipulated us! ...Looks like you are part of this family.
Harper: Perhaps we could be friends and then set up one of those little play dates.
Olive: Really? I'll have to ask my mom first, because she told me to stay away from the 'weird girl'.
Harper: Well, maybe she meant somebody else.
Olive: Aren't you the girl who wears a hat made of walnuts?
As of this episode, Harper is now living with the Russos.
Apparently, when Alex was 5 years-old, she didn't even know she was a wizard at the time.
This video was on Youtube.com before it premiered on television.
Theresa: My old Shaun Cassidy poster!
Shaun Cassidy is an actor known for his Joe Hardy on the TV series The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries.
Jerry, Theresa, Justin, and Max hitting their heads on the basement pipe is a reference to the show Home Improvement, as Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor did the same thing in a running gag.
Max refers to "the large dog that water-skis" and this is likely an allusion to the comic strip Marmaduke that features a Great Dane, a large breed of dog, who often participates in silly antics (such as water-skiing).
