  • What was this episode!?!?!

    1.0
I didn't really know what the point of this episode was and why some people like it. The plot is extremely awful. UGH! Those silent scenes were annoying but also had some funny moments.

The episode overall was a terrible episode
  • Justin starts hanging with Harper, and Alex isn't crazy about it.

    8.0
There is much I like about this episode. Justin and Harper getting closer for one when it becomes obvious they both like silent movies. It's great character development taking them to logical conclusions and in line with my own rejected WOWP scripts. Alex gets jealous and becomes evil again to bust them up. When they figure it out, they get revenge with a spell; they send her into what she hates: a silent movie. It's a wonderfully hysterical scene with a direct homage to Charlie Chaplin. Heinrie does a great job emoting the man. I can only think how much more bizarre it might have been had Justin and Harper were both fans of Benny Hill. In an amusing sub-plot often done before, Jerry and Theresa switch jobs only this time, Max takes advantage of the circumstances. What's interesting is how the sub-plot ties into the main plot. This is one episode I can't wait to see again.moreless

  • QUOTES (9)

    • Alex: (to Harper) C'mon, let's go to the bowling alley and rent shoes just to eat pizza. And then when the guy behind the counter threatens to call the cops, we'll say, "Do it, 'cause we'd like to get a ticket for wearing bowling shoes".

    • Harper: Did you tell him about the time I watched him sleep? (accusingly) You did! Didn't you? It could easily be misconstrued as creepy.

    • Alex: A billion-year-old guy is going to talk about falling. Why don't you just go visit grandpa?

    • Justin: (on how to get back at Alex) Silent movies! She hates silent movies!
Harper: Or books! We could get a whole lot of books and throw them at her. Hard cover!

    • Harper: Oh Justin! You're not supposed to be here.
Justin: It's my house. You're not supposed to be here.

    • Alex: I'm going to go lay down. I'm so tired from all that running and over-acting.

    • Justin: (about his and Harper's matching T-Shirts) It's a prize. We knew the most Chaplin trivia. Jealous?
Alex: Yeah. I'm jealous of other people because they're not part of this conversation.

    • Jerry: They don't just give away these Sandwich University diplomas for nothing.
Max: I made you that for Father's Day.

    • Alex: You can make anyone say anything. Like the other day, I saw Big Bird singing a Kanye West song!
