  • Superb BUT not perfect

I thought that this was a superb episode of "Wizards of Waverly Place". It wasn't the best episode of the fourth and final season but it was overall superb. I thought it was pretty funny but annoying when Zeke kept asking Justin about all these wizards questions ever since he found out that Alex, Justin, and Max were wizards in the previous "Wizards of Waverly Place" episode "Zeke Finds Out". I also loved that Valente Rodriguez (who had the role of Ernie Cardenas in "George Lopez") guest starred in this episode as Bob Mucho (a.k.a. Muy Macho). The flashback when Alex (as a little girl) took off Mr. Macho's wrestling mask was pretty pointless to me and it got a little annoying when they played the same thing like 2 more times. I thought it was hilarious when Zeke challenged to wrestle Muy Macho. It thought that it was hilarious when Zeke's wrestling name was "Lavas sus al manos" which means "wash your hands" in Spanish which Justin pointed out. Zeke wrestling Bob, Bob wrestling Zeke, and then Harper wrestling Bob was hilarious and it was because Justin and Alex put spells on them. Max and his new girlfriend don't have a lot in common but it was nice that Max's new girlfriend decided to take interest in wrestling after Max broke up with her and then the two of them get back together again. I kind of didn't like the ending when Muy Mucho told Alex that he would never forgive her for convincing him to go back to wrestling. Overall, this wasn't the best Wizards episode of the fourth and final season but it was overall superb. 9/10moreless

As a former die hard fan of professional wrestling and still an occasional viewer I thought that I would enjoy this episode a bit more than I did. It was a fun little storyline tonight and a decent enough ep to bring the show back after a few weeks off, but the laughs were pretty lacking. They randomly had Max with a new girlfriend? Why couldn't they explain this pairing? I guess it was good for what it was, but I don't think Max needs a girlfriend to end this show and if they are going to have him with one I would prefer that the woman be funny and not as normal as this girl seemingly was.

Okay episode, but not one that was particularly memorable.moreless

    • Jerry: What kind of careless parent lets his
little girl go to a wrestling match?
Alex: Dad, that careless parent was you and that little girl was me.

    • Justin: Zeke, you have to try to be more like Harper when she found out about wizards. Okay? She didn't even have a hard time at all.
Harper: That's true, but to be fair, my circus-like childhood makes the most bizarre things seem normal.

    • Harper: Ever since Zeke found out about magic, he's been so... annoying.
Alex: Aw. Now that's love. You think he just became annoying.

  • NOTES (1)

    • Valente Rodriguez is the second actor from the hit sitcom "George Lopez" to guest star in Wizards of Waverly Place. The first actor was Belita Moreno in the Season 1 episode "Quinceanera".
