Alex is surprisingly made Wizard of the Year. But, Reports make it seem like she is dating Chase which makes Mason jealous. Meanwhile, Family member are asked to make a holographic video telling how proud of Alex they are and Justin instead complains and says why he should have gotten the award.

A Very Good Episode Where Both Justin and Mason Learn a Very Painful Lession.

I for one thought that this Wizards of Waverly Place episode was very good. Not only did I find it touching that Alex had to break up with both of her suitors, but I also saw both Mason and Justin learn a very costly lession as well. No good ever comes out of jealousy. Justin's jealous rants in which Alex became wizard of the year instead of him caused him not only to make a huge fool out of himself, but he embarrased his family, insulted the Wizards Council, and might have even ruined his chances of getting back into the wizards competiton as well. Mson's jealousy and his attacking Chase costs him Alex as well. I found it a refreshing switch to see Justin the bad kid and Alex the good one for a change. This was a very good episode in my opinion.moreless

better than beast tamer. i kind of liked this episode. once again Justin annoyed the heck out of me. i thought this episode could've been better. like Justin could've been happy for Alex and they both get back in the compotion. minus the Justin part this episode would've been a 10. i didn't like Mason too. He was jealous over nothing. Although i thought it was touching after they broke and they showed what happened playing the song A Whole New World i think that was the song.i thought if Alex chose Chase they would make a better couple. there really wasn't that many funny moments in this episode. i did laugh at some parts like when Justin was yelling at the monotor while giving his video. i was shocked because Max really didnt make me laugh. He always makes me laugh. the plot was pretty good. that's why the score was a 7.5. the worst part of the whole episode was when Mason turned into a werewolf and attacked Chase. That annyed the living chiz out of me. and i know that there is going to be an episode when Alex and Mason get back together. and i think there will be an episode when Justin and Juliet get back together. and have you ever noticed that the trophies in the siries are the same. overall a good episode.moreless

Wizards tried to end this on a serious note going for the emotional moment as Alex and Mason were both looking to sky and thinking about each other as the show faded to black. I guess their struggles with be a theme for the upcoming final episodes. It could work, but I don't know if that's what the fans want.

There were a few funny moments, but I'd be lying if I said the show has not lost a step or two as of late. Just does not seem like they are trying anymore.

Enjoyable as a whole, well-written, nice way to end things, but sadly not that funny.moreless

Alex won Wizard of the Year award

I thought that this was an okay episode of "Wizards of Waverly Place". It wasn't good, it's wasn't bad BUT it was just okay. This episode was a little better than "Beast Tamer" though so that's one of the positives about this episode. There really weren't that many funny moments in this episode and when I did laugh at some parts in this episode, I didn't laugh very hard like I usually have been doing in the past episodes in Season 4... I've only laughed mildly but even those parts I laughed mild at weren't that funny. Alex/Mason/Chase plot is feeling weak in this episode though. Justin making a speech about Alex winning Wizard of the Year and how he said he should've won Wizard of the Year award instead of her but then I also thought that Justin was just being selfish and annoying in this episode. The humor in this episode was really seemed to be lacking tonight and tried too hard to be funny. Well... first Alex breaks up with Mason in "Alex Gives Up", now Alex breaks up with Mason AGAIN in this episode. Alex getting her award was pretty good. The scene with Alex choosing neither Mason or Chase was a pretty good scene. I'm actually curious how the next episodes are gonna go since Alex broke up with Mason. Overall, this was an okay episode of "Wizards of Waverly Place" but it could've been better and not Season 4's best. 6.5/10moreless
