In this episode, Evilini is shown to have tied up Crumbs to prevent him from intefering with her plans. A very similar thing happened in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix where Umbridge tries to sack Dumbledore, but without success. Also in this episode, Evilini is shown to be a copy of Umbridge, as she is really planning on taking over just like Umbridge did.
Goof: Headmaster Crumb's hands were loosely tied up and he could also walk around, therefore he could have still helped Alex.
This is the second episode Alex has used the truth spell. The first episode was "Alex's Choice".
Goof: When the headmaster casted the truth spell on Alex, the bottom knot was untied. In the next scene it's tied again.
Spell(s) Featured:
The Tough It Out Spell. Incantation: Scritty Politty No Quitty.
Used by:
Dr. Evilini: She used this on Justin to prevent him from backing out of the twelveball tournament and halting Alex's plan to save his powers; first time a character other than the Russo kids has used a spell.
Returning Spell(s):
The Truth Spell. Incantation: "Some are evil, some are kind, but now all must speak their mind."
Used by:
Alex: Just as she's ready to give up all hope of stopping Dr. Evilini from draining Justin's powers, she uses this at the last minute, causing everyone to overhear her plan and Dr. Evilini to be escorted away by security.
Headmaster Crumbs: When Alex goes to help Justin, she says she's going to the library, but Crumbs uses this on her to get her to admit she doesn't like "boring" libraries. He almost uses this on her again when she tells him she picked up an "I Lava Volcanoland" T-shirt for him, but she admits to not having done so before he can finish the spell.
Max: (After he falls over in his sandwich costume) Just get me up before the three second rule kicks in!
Headmaster: Hey did you get me one of those volcano T-Shirts.
Alex: Yeah, they're going to mail it you.
Headmaster: Some are evil some are kind-
Alex: Okay, no! Next time okay?
Dr. Evilini: I need to know who's the most powerful young wizard.
Alex: Excuse me, I need to ask some questions about the volcano.
Volcano employee: Fire away! ...We're encouraged to use volcano terminology whenever we can.
Max: (in the sandwich suit) How'd you get it to smell like onions?
Teresa: That's you. Jerry, we should have gotten more ventilation holes.
Jerry: That's why we went with Swiss cheese!
Evilini: We have a problem. You just heard my plan.
Alex: And I love your plan. I think it would be great to me if Justin wins the tournament and you drain his powers.
Evilini: How so?
Alex: Because without his powers, there's no way he'll end up being the family wizard -- I will. Of course, there's Max, but he thinks microwave popcorn is magic, so...
Headmaster: Well then, perhaps I should stick around and get to know you too. Now what are we talking about?
Alex: Uh, just girl talk... Bras and stuff...
Headmaster: Why uh... I've got to go...
Headmaster Crumbs is parallel to Albus Dumbledore from the Harry Potter series.
