  • Not quite as good as The Sarah Jane Adventures

    6.0
This show was conceived as a replacement for The Sarah Jane Adventures. Like that series, it was produced by Russell T. Davies (who revived Doctor Who) and features kids battling something.

While TSJA was a general dealing-with-weird-stuff series, this one has a main focus, in that aliens have come to earth to suck the magic from wizards and the like and a young wizard teams with a young, scientifically-minded friend to battle them.

The series, judging by the first two episodes, is pretty standard kids fare, with over-the-top evil aliens (also stupid, because it would make more sense to breed wizards rather than wipe them out and end their ability to get magic).

It's not bad. It's less interesting than TSJA, but not a lot less interesting. I gave up on that one after a season or so - I'm not the write age group for it - but I gave up on this one after two episodes.

Still, if you're a lot younger than me you might want to check it out.
