the l.a. times calls this series a reworking of the events of x-men the last stand. i think they held off on the premiere here in the u.s. until it was closer to the opening of x-men origins: wolverine right

I don't like the show. it's ruining the other great programs on Nicktoons Network. and not to mention it's a dumb idea.

So far I've only seen two episodes but I like what I've seen already. It reminds me at times of the 90s X-Men (could never get into the high school Evolutions series) and the animation is at least the kind I like. The only thing I don't like is that Rogue is still not like the 90s version and no Gambit as part of the team (it looks like he'll only be in one eppie - bummer). It seems like they are meshing the movie version and the 90s version in certain upcoming storylines. Either way, I will keep on watching. Sad to say that at times the animated shows are better than stuff on network tv.

I understand not liking Wolverine and Rogue...I like 90s Rogue better myself. But so far, Wolverine is at his best for me in this series. Nightcrawler and Storm are still my favs...Although, her balloon hair is REALLY bothering me in this series. Don't know why. But in truth, I'm just kind of glad to be given a break from the Jean Grey/Cyclops thing. They are so boring together. He's much more interesting reckless and depressed.

OK, this is what i think :

    **BAD**
1: Call it "X-Men" (Dump the Wolverine part)
2: I also hate Storms hair
3: No Gambit on the Team
4: Wolverine in charge? he's Not a Leader Scott was the Leader with Jean as 2nd and Storm is 3rd. (atleast in all the other Cartoons)
5: Wolverine telling Scott not to go lose his head, (Like Wolverine never did that, and still does)

    **GOOD**
1: Emma Frost (been waiting for an X-man Cartoon with more of her in it.
    2: More of Iceman

I have been digging the show so far. I enjoy the banter and also the jokes as well. I'm hoping it does well.

Okay the show has potential but there is way too much wolverine I don't even mind the epsiodes individually but I really want to see some of the other X-men get some f**king time on screen, I mean seriously there were 2 wolverine past love stories in the same half of a season wtf is up with that sigh so annoying

Well, the show is mainly focusing on Wolverine. At least they're putting him in a role that doesn't necessarily fit him which makes him more interesting. But I think based on that we can all stop complaining about how much he is in the series. They have already set the premise for the show and expecting it to be anything other than that is silly. I'm just hoping that they spotlight other characters as well, at least for a few eps a season. Too much of Wolverine can get boring and part of the reason I found Evolution so boring was they focused on certain characters and no one else got the spotlight.

What channel and when does this show air? I've checked my Satellite programming for Nick and didn't see the show in the 8:00pm time slot. Is Nicktoons a separate channel like Boomerang is to Cartoon Network?

You lost me at "great programs on Nicktoons Network". The only great modern "Nicktoons" (and I use the word loosely) are Danny Phantom and Avatar, especially Avatar. And in case you didn't notice, American Nickelodeon hates them both, hence the long hiatuses while fans watched eps online and deserted Nickelodeon. If it strays from the usual ridiculous nonsense that consumes Nick, that's good.

will rogue get marvel powers in this show?

If you've seen the whole series, what do you mean by "so far"? I thought you meant up to 17 (the last one I could find online in English).

I've watched up to the first five. Funny how people are saying Jean caused the explosion. My brother and I kinda wondered if she was flipping out, or if the Shiar or something showed up.

Shadowcat's hair will take some getting used to. That's about my only real gripe so far. Well, and Toad's look will take some getting used to.

    The stuff I like:

Emma. Jean's just not in Scott's league. I hope they don't spend a lot of time on emo Scott -- I was glad Dark Phoenix wasted him in Last Stand. Emma, though, is psychic but isn't such a blow to Scott's ego like Jean is.

Dust. 'Bout time. I stopped reading the comics shortly after they rediscovered Colossus, due to financial reasons, but she was one of the few new ones I enjoyed.

Rogue. I personally like 90s Rogue. Goth Rogue was a bit strange. This one is a nice mix of both. And, at least as far as I'm aware, Mystique wasn't the one who tempted her this time around.

Starting off by stripping most of the Classic X-Men out of the picture. I've seen TAS. I loved TAS. I don't want this to rehash TAS. Let's let some of the new blood in.

I've liked what I've seen so far. It's as cleanly drawn as Evolution, but has a better range of ages for the characters. It doesn't seem overacted (I have the Phoenix Saga on DVD, and it was only after watching with the French soundtrack on for kicks did I realize how overacted TAS was.) and so far everyone seems to fit in nicely.

The only other gripe I may have, aside from looks, is that the opening credits seem more like the beginning of an episode, more than credits. The song doesn't seem like a theme song, but just a background score.

Funny you should say that.... When I started watching the first ep on Veoh, I was thinking "Is this how it begins or did I miss something? Danger Room, perhaps?" Then they flashed the title and I was like "Oh, it's the theme song. Wait a minute, this is the theme song?" Lol.

This show is actually what got me into X-Men. I saw the commercials, figured I should give it a chance, and loved it. So far, my faveorite episodes are Thieve's Gambit and X-Calibre.

But since I've only seen this show and the movies, I don't really have any grievances in how the characters are portrayed. Some of the accents seem a bit exaggerated, but at least that way I can hear them (I'm not very perceptive to accents.)

the real problem with this show is way too much wolverine but that's about it, and they are mixing too many comics and stealing so many ideas oh well as long as they manage to pull it together in some sort of plot, or start on some character development, maybe I just think it isn't that good cuz i've read some of the comics, which this seriously isn't even close to matching

I have to say after what seven episodes what this show needs is more team episodes. And yes, I would like to see less of Wolverine and more of a balance with the other X-Men. Emma Frost and Scott seem to be MIA and there is very little screen time for the others (except for Beast). And can please stop the Wolverine from flashing toward the end of each episode (covering up the show). Extremely annoying.

As an X-Men fan, this show is great and the best cartoon adaptation of the comic book to date. Love it!
