Episode Summary

EDIT
Nightcrawler remains a prisoner of Magneto's, kept in a metal sphere on Genosha, and visited daily by Wanda. That is until they're both kidnapped by returning foes Spiral and Mojo. Waking up in the Hunting Grounds, Kurt and Wanda must survive being hunted by the Reavers, all for the sake of Mojo's televised entertainment. But when the Reavers prove insufficient, a new hunter is brought in: Wolverine. He's been brainwashed, and now, unleashed in a frenzy, his every effort is focused on bringing Nightcrawler down.moreless

  • This was the best episode of the season so far. Loved the inclusion of Mojo. Nightcrawler felt like a living and breathing character. I actually found myself laughing out loud a couple times. Sharp writing! Looking forward to more episodes!moreless

This was the best episode of the series so far in my opinion. As a stand alone it's a great entry into the series since you don't need to know much about the world or characters. Loved the inclusion of Mojo and the "running man-esque" plot. Nightcrawler felt like a living and breathing character more so than some of the other X-men. I actually found myself laughing out loud a couple times. Sharp writing! I was a little hesitant about the animation style when I first saw it but it grows on you. Bravo Marvel! Looking forward to more episodes!moreless

so this nightcrawler episode wasn`t my favorite, but it was a good one!!!!I liked scarlet in this one because you can see her struggle between the two lines-good and evil exspecially when she dropped wolverine.the two(scarlet witch and nightcrawler)are a good couple, but a weird one!because in x-men:evolution they didn`t think to much of eachother.

Anyway the mind controlled logan was creepy, but i think that was what the writers were going for.

Well i am almost done with this 100 word review and do you really really really really really really really wanna know why?because i am at a a a hundred words!moreless
  • Mojo takes center stage, while Kurt and Wanda fight for their lives.

    8.0
Let me get this out of the way first- I hate Mojo. He's the most obnoxious character created in the X-men universe, and he's got a stupid m.o.

That said, he's handled well in this episode- they got the character just right, even down to his annoying glee. Not as well conveyed is the sense of the Reality TV show he's trying to put together. He craves for his gladiators to fight to the death, and we get that with an immensely freaky looking Wolverine (how he got there is never explained) but I didn't get the feeling like there was an audience for the spectacle. Where was the cheering bloodthirsty crowd? In anycase, what makes this episode work is Nightcrawler through and through. He's easily the best developed, and most interesting character on this series, and that's a shame considering it's called Wolverine. Watching him and the Scarlet Witch work together was interesting and entertaining. In this episode, both characters finally come to terms with where their loyalties lie.moreless
