Episode Summary

EDIT
Xavier gives Wolverine and the X-Men a mission that goes against everything they believe; they must not only save the Brotherhood, but also deliver an innocent mutant into the hands of the MRD. And if they fail, half the world's mutants will be wiped out. That's because the Brotherhood has boldly snatched the perfect living weapon from the MRD prisons - Nitro, a mutant who causes huge energy detonations. The problem is, this tortured young man can't control his power- something he has in common with Rogue, who hates the way the Brotherhood is using him. After using Nitro to destroy the MRD databanks, Quicksilver plans to deliver him to Magneto on Genosha. Unfortunately, they have no idea what they've gotten themselves into. Nitro's powers are beginning to overload, and the next time he goes off it could mean the end.moreless

  • Awsome Episode

    10
This was a great episode and the end of the first half of season 1.if this half of season one comes out on dvd....you should maybe just MAYBE rent instead of buying it,because of episodes like

thievs gambit and wolverine vs hulk.

Anyway,i loved rogue in this one, even though she was a villian(sorta)she steal helped the x-men save nitro.i think i would like nitro/rogue if they do hook up.The charecter nitro was great and he was brave to want himself imprisoned to protect genosha and everyone in the world.overall........an episode with true soul and heart and compassion with great animation and rogue`s voice actor was very awesome, just like this episode.moreless
  • The brotherhood is back, and by default, this episode is an improvement over some of the last few.

    8.5
Make no mistake, i am loving this new brotherhood of mutants. In an episode that finally get's back to focusing on the core plot of the series, an unstable mutant named Nitro is picked up by Quicksilver and company for evil gain.

A particularly great moment for this episode is the showcase of everybody on the X-Men thus far. Iceman and Kitty have their usual cool moments, but finally Storm flexes some muscle and Emma Frost continues to be the most interesting character on the show thanks to her moral ambiguity.

Domino (rapidly becoming another favorite) revealed an interesting tidbit about Pietro and magneto (he's been banned from genosha) that makes Quicksilver more interesting too.moreless
  • After six amazing episodes and one snoozer of a seventh, episode eight brings back the amazing X-Men and introduces my beloved Psylocke that combine to become my third favorite episode so farmoreless

    9.5
I was stoked to find out Psylocke would appear in this episode, as she is my all time favorite telepath and one of favorite X-Men. They portrayed her great in this series, although too weak. Emma smacks her down too easily. The episode brings back teamwork from episodes 2, 3 & 4, and it is amazingly done. The episode finally brings in some much needed X-Men vs Brotherhood story lines and I for one hope that they continue. I didn't like how Psylocke was a temporary member of the Brotherhood, but for story purposes, they brought her into the show amazingly. I really hope that she appears again very soon.moreless
