I liked most of what they've done with this character- though they've seem to scaled back on his religious tones; a shame. The title is a refrence to his time in the comics as a member of an X-Men-like team called XCalibur. A direct nod to this is in the moment where he weilds a sword on the edge of the ship. In what was essentially a Wolverine-less episode, Kurt was the main star here. He's still got his X-Men roots, but Wagner is fighting the good fight on his own these days, and his decision not to rejoin the X-Men was dissapointing, but refreshing.
Also a treat for viewers was examining mutants with supposed "useless"powers, a nice reminder that not every ability can be cool.
