    Death in disguise

Assasins in disguise were very popular in the 70s, largely due to Frederick Forsyth's hugely successful book 'The Day of the Jackal' and it's film adaptation. Here we have Diana horseriding, you always wondered what she did for a hobby. Indrezzano is a sexist jerk "That's impossible, you're a woman" but WW shows him the error of his ways. Note the team of assasins make their only female member work as their secretary and it's her that mispells IRAC as CARI.

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (9)

    • Watch Diana closely as she's about to turn into Wonder Woman outside of La Maison Verte, she reaches up to remove glasses she isn't wearing.

    • It seems unlikely that Diana would walk right past the large hole in the floor which Carlo fell through without noticing it, or even falling into it herself.

    • When Diana goes to the restaurant, the maitre'd refers to her as "mademoiselle." She 'corrects' him by saying "Miss...Miss Prince." "Mademoiselle" is French for "Miss," and "Madame" is French for "Mrs."

    • When Wonder Woman and Nightingale are talking about who the next victim will be, he tells her it is her and fires at her. Wonder Woman catches the bullet, but Wonder Woman is not invulnerable to bullets so it should have gone straight through her hand.

    • There is a small continuity error when Starker is breaking into the air conditioning. One shot the lights are out and then it cuts to Diana for a second and then back to Starker and the lights are on.

    • The scene where Wonder Woman jumps in the brick building that is supposed to be the IADC headquarters is recycled. That scene was also used in the episode "Screaming Javelin" when Wonder Woman jumped through the window into the room of Tom, Nadia's boyfriend.

    • Jennifer Darling, who plays Violet in this episode, was a recurring star in The Bionic Woman and played Jamie's (Lindsay Wagner) best friend Peggy Callahan.

    • Goof: The IADC building is established to have a concrete and glass exterior. However, in the episode "Death in Disguise" Wonder Woman leaps up the side of the IADC building and the building is brick.

    • Wonder Woman once again displays her mental ability to control animal's actions, which was first seen in the episode "Light-Fingered Lady". The tune you hear in the background of the scene is the same tune whistled by Andros in order to enter his ship in the episode "Judgment from Outer Space (1)".

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Violet Louise: (about Wonder Woman) I bet you never see her behind a typewriter.

    • Carlo: (to Diana) With you as my bodyguard, I shall remain eternally in danger.

    • Carlo: What happened?
Wonder Woman: Let's just say that we just cheated the jaws of death out of a meal.
      Carlo: You mean...you saved me?
      Wonder Woman: Yes.
      Carlo: That's impossible...ridiculous! You're a woman.
Wonder Woman: Heh. I have been told that once or twice.

    • Carlo: You don't look like a government agent.
Diana: I left my trenchcoat at the cleaners.
Carlo: Oh, well, I shall have to keep you out of the trenches.
