  • The Marriage of Wonder Woman?

    4.0
    I do, I do

Henry Darrow again and once more in an ep with lots of horses. Lynda in a wedding dress (she'd just got married in real life) and in a swimsuit. We actually see her kiss a man, the only time I can think it happens in the series. I've heard if WW marries a man she loses her powers, can anyone fill me in how and why? She's gassed again but doesn't get the bizarre 'truth button' treatment the other wives get. Beyond that little to recommend this one. One obvious question, why couldn't they have had her marry Steve Trevor?

    4/10

  • Another well-acted script here, especially by Celeste Holm and Henry Darrow.

    7.3
Holm's sincerity and class adds a nice touch to the overall theme of the series as a whole. Darrow is good textbook villain here. Steve is practically absent from the episode and is sorely missed as John Getz's performance as Diana's "husband" leaves much to be desired. He seems to be having fun, though. The "magic touch" to a person's back is never explained which drags the script down in points. The golf cart tires screeching in the dirt and Diana wearing pantyhose at the swimming pool and in the steam room are brilliant moments here. At the restaurant, we see Diana and Christian decide that they want a chocolate soda and a cheeseburger and in exactly 27 seconds, the camera cuts away to the car thief and returns to the two of them enjoying their food. That's fast service!

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • Goof: When Dolly's horse is triggered to buck while on her ride, the footage used is actually from earlier in the show. In the background of the scene you can see the corral and other horses, however, Dolly and her horse are alone on the bridal path when the trigger is activated.

    • Goof: When Smitty and Johnny first visit Mr. Allen in his office, the boom mike is visible darting back and forth across the room in the reflection of the window.

  • NOTES (1)

    • This episode debuts the "new" Diana Prince. She wears more casual, trendy clothing, with lower necklines and more slack outfits than in the earliest episodes. More often than not, she only wears glasses in the office or to drive, and usually wears her hair in a ponytail or odd variant.
