  • Last of the 2 dollar bills

Again a concept based upon historical fact, the German secret service planning to wreck the British economy by flooding Britain with forged 5 pound notes to cause hyperinflation. What's more there really were $2 bills and they were reissued during WW's 1st season in 1976 to celebrate America's bicentennial We see WW's cape again and see her use her tiara as a boomerang. She also plays dumb to help her manipulate Steve in to taking her to the mint, pretending she had no idea that money was actually made. Once again she is depowered by losing her bracelets.

  • Well-balanced episode here with some nice stuff for Steve.

The writing is a bit of a stretch at time with the anachronism of the end of the two dollar bills in the 1940s being one of them. Other than that, the story tracks well with almost all of the action taking place right in the middle of the Capitol (or "capital" according the taxi cab company's logo). The acting is fair overall, with Waggoner probably coming off the strongest of anyone. Nice period setting and the weather is really beautiful in Washington, it seems. A genuinely moving and sincere scene occurs when Diana comes into Steve's office and watches him while he takes a nap.
