    Light fingered lady

    Wonder Woman does heist movie. We see her in her swimsuit again and see her ability to communicate with animals when she charms the guard dog. We also have Bubba Smith who'll later go on to fame with the police academy films. Steve finally gets a kiss from Diana but sadly only on the cheek. Lovely line;

Villain; "You see what you get? You see what you get when you trust a woman?"

Steve; "Yeah, you get the job done!"

Story goes that Bubba Smith was reluctant to have his macho reputation tarnished by pretending to be thrown by a 'little white lady' (one of the few people who could call the statuesque Lynda Carter 'little') but Lynda Carter convinced him by doing it for real.

  • Diana Prince poses as Lil Thaxton, a notorious thief and robber in an attempt to capture Anton Caribe and his gang of thieves.

One of my favorite episodes and a daring stroryline as Diana/Wonder Woman poses as Lil Thaxton. It\'s also great to see Greg Morris as a villain as opposed to his Mission:Impossible good-guy character, Barney Collier. Saundra Sharp as Eve plays a great friend to Lil and I was shocked the first time I saw this episode notice Eve was in disguise. The \"grand finale\" of the heist is hilarious as Lil reveals herself as Diana Prince and successfully captures Caribe and his gang of thieves with Steve and the police. I also admire Wonder Woman\'s way of handling the guard dogs in the vault scenes. This was a great story with suspense and action!moreless
  • Very good installment of the series.....

This episode shows Diana Prince in an undercover role where she poses as a small time crook trying to hook up with a gang being formed by a criminal mastermind. The mastermind intends, using each of the assembled criminal's unique talents, to steal a huge amount of money from a rival wealthy criminal in a daring night time raid. After passing tests to confirm her abilities/background, it's up to Diana / Wonder Wonder to help the plan succeed and achieve her own goals at the same time.

A solid episode of this series that is highlighted by solid acting by Lynda Carter and the various guest stars that make up the cast of bad guys. The plot seemed to be resolved in a fairly weak manner though the episode is still enjoyable for anyone who views it.moreless
  • We needed more like this one.

An across-the-boards great episode here and probably the best of season 2. Good scripting and strong acting by Carter as well as Chris Stone. Very strong material for a nighttime drama - the episode seemed to be trying something the series had never done with the espionage overtones. Steve pops up for only a couple of sequences and each time, he gives a strong performance. Anytime Wonder Woman talks to animals, it's amazing and the German Shepherds here are no exception. Great art direction and the fact that most of the episode seems to take place at night is a plus. Eve has some nice scenes as well here.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (6)

    • Goof: Wonder Woman, in her wet suit (second time wearing it since the episode 'The Bermuda Triangle'), dives into a harbor at one point but it's apparent that she is in a swimming pool.

    • Goof: At the beginning of the episode just after the opening credits. Diana goes into the ship cabin and changes into her diving costume. As she jumps out of the water, if you look at the water you can tell that the film has been played backwards, and a crewman and springboard can be seen behind the crates.

    • Goof: Shortly after Diana arrives at Techtron to steal the plans, she changes into Wonder Woman. She then goes to the fence and jumps over it, at the bottom of the screen you can see a springboard flip up as a crew man jumps on the other end, to send Wonder Woman over the fence.

    • This episode marks the first display of Wonder Woman's ability to communicate with animals.

    • Goof: Diana changes first into her Wonder Woman uniform and then into her wetsuit while aboard a boat. The background of the shot in her standard uniform is not the boat cabin, but a blank wall.

    • The voice of IRAC is not listed in the episode credits.

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Steve: Good morning, Ira.
Ira: "Good" is a subject assessment not substantiated by scientific evidence. Please be specific.
Steve: (to Eve) He must've gotten up on the wrong side of his battery charger.

    • Leech: (glaring in Diana's direction) You see what you get? You see what you get when you trust a woman?
Steve: Yeah, you get the job done.

    • Diana: Weren't you up for manslaughter for what you did to that quarterback?
      Rojak: Nahh, he lived....

    • Steve: (talking about Caribe) If he's not arrested soon, he's going to be solely responsible for the national debt.

  • NOTES (1)

    • First instance of a "double" spin--Diana, in a sequence featuring the original 40's change music changes first to Wonder Woman, then continues to spin as the light explodes again, emerging in the diving costume. This is inconsistently used in the series--at times, she changes directly to the diving costume from Diana.
