    The Murderous Missile

Or the faintly pathetic missile quite frankly, the rubbish special effect letting the rest of this ep down. Motorbiking WW is too cool for school though although her motorbiking suit looks remarkably like her swimsuit. An ep that must have had the bondage/conquered superheroines fetishists salivating as not only is she chloroformed in the traditional WW manner but chained up and spreadeagled in the jail. However they don't seem to know that her belt is the source of her power as they conveniently leave it on her. Weird, the corrupt cops in season 1 seemed to know it. Note that the missile is called Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom but also of warfare (as any Xena fan knows). Not the goddess of the Amazon's though, that's Artemis. The idea of a thought control weapon system was popularized by the book Firefox which was popular at the time.

7/10, let down by the poor missile but love the motorbikemoreless
  • Wonder Woman encounters a very small town where all is not as it seems.....

For many episodes of this series, Wonder Woman could rely on her superior strength and skills to defeat her opponents rather easily. In this episode, however, the heroine finds out that things aren't always what they seem to be.

The center of the episode, a missile that can be controlled by the thoughts of an individual wearing a special helmet, is intriguing though it becomes secondary very quickly. For fans of the dark haired heroine, they get to see Wonder Woman change into her motorcycle outfit for the first time. Let's just say that if people thought Wonder Woman's regular outfit emphasized her figure, her cycle outfit does so equally well.

With a few twists and turns and some neat scenes that show Wonder Woman's agility and strength, this is one of the better episodes of the series.

  • Very bad episode

As the season 2 finale, it seems fairly obvious that they ran out of money toward the end of the season. This had some of the worst props and effects of the series, and that's saying a lot. The titular "murderous missile" was incredibly cheesy. In every scene, it was easily possible to see the two wires it was dangling from. (Given how bad it was, it's amazing just how many times they actually showed it, likely to fill out the thin script.) Meanwhile, its "rocket exhaust" consisted of a weak, nearly invisible wisp of smoke. Hey, did somebody leave their cigarette in the rocket model again? Mostly filmed on a typical backlot ghost/small town set with two interminable action sequences featuring jeeps circling in an open field and two motorcycles on a beach. Skip this and you won't miss anything.moreless
