  • Quotes

    • Jaye: Wait! We've got some stuff that is not racist. Look! A rainbow teddy bear! He represents all people and he is gay friendly.

    • Jaye: An authentic Satsuma totem should not be speaking English.
Totem Mole: I'm not authentic. They put me here for the tourists.

    • Aaron: St. Paul was just a punk until he was blinded by the light, and Gandhi was just drinking and whoring it up with his friends until he heard the cry of his people.
Jaye: And Neo was just a geek until he swallowed that little red pill.

    • Indian: You said you needed a spiritual leader to relieve you of your burden. There she is.
Jaye: Yeah, I guess so. (pause) You know, I'm not so sure if my burden is a burden or not. I mean, other people seem to want it, and that should always make you pause before you give something up.
Indian: (sagely) A lesson my people have learned, time and time again.

    • Bill Hooton: Thank you for supporting this imperialist establishment. Enjoy your purchase and have a racist day.

  • Notes

    • Jaye's newest victims: Bill Hooten . . . TWICE - (dies from smoking a pipe and then shot by security guard at Wonderfalls) - and Deanna Littlefoot, locked in a steamroom.

    • We learn that Mahandra is part American Indian.

    • Tyron Leitso, William Sadler and Diana Scarwid do not appear in this episode.

    • It's not really clear why this show is entitled "Totem MOLE", since Jaye talks to a Totem POLE. The part of the pole she talks to is obviously a bird. Nobody does anything spy-like (an implied meaning of "mole"). The only thing even vaguely mole-like is Bill, who's kind of short and squat.

  • Allusions

    • Jaye: And Neo was just a geek until he swallowed that little red pill.

A reference to the character Neo from The Matrix science fiction trilogy.
