A nifty lighting rod couple- Lyla and Neil.
She was arguably responsible for five deaths and the potential retardation of their hard-to-concieve unborn child.
He was supportive and very lovingly hands-on in his relationship with Lyla. Post-emergency, he questioned her, physically became distant, and attempted to kill the man who actually put his family in danger in one fell swoop!
Their talk about potential nannies was great and unexpected. (I couldn't tell if Lyla was pulling Neil's leg or if she meant what she was saying.)
The restaurant scene, pre-review board, showed how far- in one episode-two characters can retreat from each other.
I cannot see two other actors tackle these roles; Michelle Forbes and Martin Donovan were perfect.
