The eight-hour medieval period drama is headlined by Cynthia Nixon, Miranda Richardson and Peter Firth along with Ben Chaplin, Charlotte Riley, Rupert Evans, Megan Follows, Nora von Waldstaetten, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Tom Weston-Jones and Sarah Gadon. Set in England in the 1300 (150 years after the events depicted in its prequel), it narrates the struggle of the fictional town of Kingsbridge during the start of the Hundred Years' War with France and the outbreak of the Black Death.
