World's Greatest Mysteries Bigfoot: Living Creature Or Legendary Lie?
AIRED:
Controversy. Conspiracy. Confusion. History is fraught with events -- from local to global -- that have never been satisfactorily explained. What caused the dinosaurs to perish? How were the Egyptian Pyramids built? What happened to the great Inca civilization? Was John Wilkes Booth part of a large, sinister plot? Was George Armstrong Custer sacrificed to save the Grant Administration? Is there anything happening in Roswell, New Mexico, that should be shared with American citizens? Who shot John F. Kennedy? These and dozens of other international mysteries are investigated, explored, unraveled and reported. Bigfoot: Living Creature Or Legendary Lie? Bigfoot, also known as --Sasquatch,is an ape-like creature reputed to inhabit remote forests, mainly in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States and the Canadian province of British Columbia. Terrifying to all who encounter it, Bigfoot is described as being twelve feet tall, walking upright, and covered in dark brown or dark reddish hair. Some believe that this beast, or its close relatives, may be found around the world under different regional names, such as the --Yeti?of Tibet and Nepal, the --Yeren of mainland China, and the --Yowie of Australia. Although nobody in history has actually captured a bigfoot-like animal, Sasquatch is mentioned in the book, The Wilderness Hunter, by Theodore Roosevelt. This television program examines whether Bigfoot is an alien creature from another galaxy or an elaborate hoax perpetrated for centuries, in many areas of the world.moreless
